[Spain glances to England, then to the door, taking a deep breath to steel himself. He knows he's in for... well, something, so he'll need it. Romano has been so grumpy lately...

But before he knocks, he looks to England again. Then, with some hesitance--]

Eh... Gracias, Inglaterra.

[er. awkward. He just nods. He... thanks you, too, for getting him out of the house]

[Foreboding? And then he quickly makes his retreat back to his apartment]

[So... so awkward. But Prussia needed that visit, and England did, too. But still awkward. And that doesn't help. But he sighs and turns back to the door, knocking and mumbling to himself.]

I think I'll need it.

[Looks up at the knock on the door. He's close, and his roommates seem fairly comfortable...

It's only a few moments before Japan answers the door.]

[Watches Germany leave, and looks at Italy with a soft frown. You'd have to be an idiot to miss the change in the smaller nation's mood, and Spain is only one some of the time.

He gently rests a hand on top of Italy's head.]

Italia? [He's not sure if it's because Italy will miss living with Romano, or something else...]

[for a moment, he tries to cover up his expression. Why should Spain feel sad?]

... [Silence, for a moment. He'd just arrived yesterday, but he's felt that loss, and it's been bothering him ever since stepping foot outside of Shibusen.]

We'll get back to them, Italia. [Light hairpet.] And you are not alone here, sí? You have your hermano, and Alemania, and Japón. [Small smile.] And me, too. We'll work together and get home soon.

[that wasn't all that was bugging him, but he nods, wondering if he should tell Spain what Romano said to him. He'd already considered talking to Japan about it, though he figured Japan would be uncomfortable hearing about such a thing...

But now, Japan is nearby, too, and Italy tilts his head a bit to look at his former ally. You can stay if you want, but]

It... [turns back to look at Spain] It's really hard for my brother here, I think.

[Germany comes into the scene with Romano over a shoulder. He is about to present his load to the others when he notices that they are all on the floor. Weeping.

Italien is weeping again. HE HAD NOT BEEN CRYING NOT EVEN FIVE MINUTES AGO!]

Why is he crying? [puts Romano down next to Spanien, all attentions on Italien]

[After Germany puts Romano down, he smirks a bit but then...when he realizes his brother was crying...

[For once, Italy's hug was not completely unexpected. Under the current circumstances, even though it was still uncomfortable, Japan wasn't going to protest. At least he'd had time to get more used to this habit of Westerners'...

But then the untimely appearance of the topics of conversation, and the very reasons for Italy's tears. Of course, they had always been going to appear...

Italy's hug is tight. As much as he would love to make an escape... Manages to somehow turn his head to look at Germany and Romano.] Ah-

[When the hug-pile is increased by one, he adjusts accordingly--though he and Japan aren't close, he still lifts his other hand, making sure that Japan won't end up toppling over, should they shift or disturb what little balance there is to be had in their position.

He looks up, though, when he hears Germany's heavy footsteps, seeing Romano over his shoulder. A part of him is a little irked to see the Italian manhandled, but he knows that it's... pretty much the only way he would've come out.

His concern actually lies in the fact that Italy is crying at the moment, and he's not sure how he should explain it. Germany hadn't mentioned what Romano had said to Italy, so...]

Eh... [His initial response is just as intelligent as Japan's, and Spain shares a look with him before he moves a little. Though not as strong as the blond amongst them, he carefully lifts both of the smaller countries up so they can all return to their feet and Germany could see to Italy.

He looked at Romano, briefly, before back to Germany.] Italia was telling us

[he... is watching his brother and Spain go back and forth worriedly. Actually, it's rather awkward, even for him, so he must assume that Japan and Germany are also feeling pretty nervous about the vibes in the room.

he would really like to say something, anything. but he is still mad at his brother. mad enough that he doesn't want to defend him...]
