The other ones (go to a movie, come to the arcade) were the ones she had to file away for future reference because there hadn't been a chance to discuss the possibility of doing those things this time ( ... )

Self-conscious as she was, it was easy to misinterpret his silence.

She ducked her head a blush staining her cheeks, "I look strange, don't I?" She looked up briefly, before turning her head to the side, "I can go change into something else..."

She was already taking a half step back and god, why did she think this would be a good idea in the first place.?

Well, that came out a bit strong, didn't it? At least Takasugi thought it did. He caught himself afterward, and immediately averted his gaze.

"You... you look great."

She really, really did. It was actually hard NOT to stare.
