Characters: Sora, Sarutobi Sasuke Location: A street in the Red Light District Rating: PG. Time: December 26, late afternoon Description: While on his aimless adventures, Sora finds a Ninja. Or... a Ninja finds Sora.
Sora was still not quite over Christmas. It was only yesterday, after all. So he had spent most of the day still jittery and excited, and found after a few hours he just couldn't stay still in the house (the new puppy having provided a number of hours of amusement already and was now itself tired and asleep on Riku's shoes). He had taken it upon himself to investigate his new neighbourhood instead, as a means partly of getting out of the house and partly of getting some fresh air

Great. Not only had he managed to make an ass of himself, Sasuke had done so in broad daylight with plenty of people around to witness it. Or at least one had, in any case, as he heard a male voice call out in concern. He might've preferred it if he had simply gone unnoticed, though. His pride might hurt slightly less than his side currently did.
"Uggghhh." He groaned, only partially in pain, but far moreso at the notion that someone was about to witness him sprawled in an undignified heap in the middle of a dark alley in a place that is clearly of questionable repute. Should have kept my eyes on the ledge in front of me...
"I'm... fine...!" he called back in return, though his voice was quite obviously constricted by pain. While armoured and skilled enough to effectively break a fall, falling from buildings was not generally a pleasant experience. He was hoping whoever it was he was talking to would simply keep walking, though, and spare him the embarrassment.
He definitely didn't recognise the fall victim up close. But then, that wasn't surprising, Sora didn't know many people in his city, and he was constantly making new friends, and aquaintences. He only briefly wondered how this person had managed to get from the roof to the ground, and why exactly they had been on the roof in the first place. It seemed like a secondary concern to finding out if this guy was even capable of getting up and walking around without help. He certainly seemed alive at this stage which was a good sign.
He peered in closer so he could get a better view at whatever injury was ailing this man. "You don't sound fine," was Sora's well researched medical opinion. "Can you stand up?" He offered him a hand, just in case the answer was no, or even if it was yes, it never hurt to be helpful. Internally he cursed his inability to simply heal people at will, coming to this world had apparently taken that away as well as the full use of his keyblade.
Fate clearly wasn't on Sasuke's side. That voice was definitely nearer, rather than further away. Maybe if-
Damn it. He managed to uncurl himself somewhat so that he resembled a ball of pain and embarrassment sunken into a mess of snow and disgorged trash slightly less, and looked up. Clearly, it was too much to ask to avoid adding insult to injury. At least the concern was touching, the kid looked visibly concerned. Hopefully not too distressed. That would just make things even worse, if possible.
"Yeah, just... give me a sec..." he rasped. He planted one leg firmly beneath him and attempted to lever himself to his feet, at which point he immediately clutched at his side and swayed into the wall beside him. At the very least, once he slumped against it he managed to keep himself mostly upright, albeit at a slightly awkward angle
