Takuto had been curious about the bar ever since he realized he was legal to go to it, but it wasn't until now that he had given in to the temptation. And even though he knew he wasn't breaking any rules, he still felt a slight thrill of danger as he stepped inside.

Feeling bold, he went straight to the counter and hopped onto a stool next to a guy with a ponytail and some serious worry lines. The bartender looked at him, and he hesitated. The bartender looked away, and he tapped the worried guy's patterned coat in the area he hoped was the shoulder.

"E-excuse me, but what would you recommend?" He'd always heard it was bad (or was that pathetic?) to drink alone, and he figured he wasn't going to start now. But since he had come by himself, he had to find a buddy among the crowd.

Itachi, on the other hand, was perfectly capable of drinking alone. It hadn't always been so, but with a lack of Kisamme in Death City, he had resorted to doing it on occasion. He was not in the mood to socialize tonight anyway. He had only just received his drink when he felt the pressure on his shoulder. Turning in the direction it was coming from was a mop of flaming red hair.

Or at least, that was all he could make out of the boy. He didn't even realize he actually was a boy until Takuto opened his mouth. It would seem the kid had never been to a bar before. Itachi held back a sigh, putting on his usual mask of politeness.

"Sake."

Takuto nodded, seemingly impressed with the decision. He noticed that the dark-haired man had something that also looked like sake. "Thanks!"

Once more feeling just as adventurous as he had been while walking in the door, he swiveled on his seat to face the bartender, and ordered himself a sake. At the bartender's subsequent question, he decided that yes, he'd like it warm.

And he turned back to his new drinking buddy. "I've always heard about drinking warmed sake, but does it actually taste better that way?"

"Yes." Was the short answer. Itachi only ever drank cold sake when he was on the move-- unfortunately a common situation for him before arriving in Death City. The last several months, however, had left him enjoying warm sake when he got the chance. Finishing off his cup, he set in on the counter, hoping that Tifa would get his hint and bring him another one.

He would need it if he's going to be stuck drinking with an over-enthusiastic teenager tonight.

Tifa was working at the bar when Itachi came in. She saw someone come in and take a seat and the bar and turned to approach the newest customer, but blinked when she saw it was him.

"Ah, Itachi... how are you doing?" With a smile, she leaned forward on the bar, folding her arms in front of her. He didn't look to be in the best mood, but really, she couldn't read much from him yet.

He gave the tiniest inkling of surprise at the voice. From several feet away he could not tell it was the dark haired girl, but he easily recognized her voice. It had been several days since they had last spoken, and it was true that he had wondered how she was settling in, but tonight he felt short of making any kind of conversation.

"Tifa-san." He nodded at her, "I had not realized you worked here." It had certainly been longer than he thought since he had last come to the bar.

She gave a nod, standing in front of him at the bar so it would be easier for him to see her; she couldn't be sure and would never ask, but watching the way he looked at things, Tifa had a feeling Itachi's eyesight was poor.

"I just started actually," she tilted her head a little, "so what can I get for you?"

"I see." So that explained it then. He thought for a moment, before answering. "I am not sure. Last I was here the bar did not sell sake, so my options are more limited." Which was simply a long Itachi-esque way to ask for help. Leaning back slightly he attempted to read Tifa's expression without squinting, trying to make out the features of her face.
