There had been many times throughout his long life that he'd been amused, but Sohki didn't think any of that compared to what he had witnessed in the process of finding an apartment for themselves. He didn't mind where they lived so long as it was up to a decent standards, but his dear China had been far more 'picky' over that matter. Watching the country had been similar to watching an art masterpiece being painted. It had been a beautiful sight to the kirin, and he had contently observed the entire process ( ... )

"... Do you think so?" He crawled back out from under the sink carefully, eyebrows furrowed down and eyes narrowed right for the balcony doors. No, he hadn't realized what Sohki had been doing, which was probably just as well: apartment choosing was just so important, and they'd gotten lucky with this one, especially considering how they had the whole of the floor to themselves. That was actually more than interesting, China believed, but it was for another time.

He was taking this cross-wind thing seriously, however. "We could set up some walls, perhaps." A beat, then - "Either way, however, your tea will most definitely be fine."

Said with surety, and maybe just the hint of a smile: he was happy, in complete truth, about all of this. Even the dog, so long as it stayed away from his Hello Kitty plushie. The fact that Sohki was still agreeable to it - had brought it up in the first place - would still make him feel better, every time it crossed his mind. As such, to keep objective, he... tried his best not to think on it too much. ( ... )

Sohki was a master of hiding the levels of amusement he felt. It was a skill that came into use as he watched China crawling out from beneath the sink. His poor Weapon was far too innocent and oblivious to his tactics regardless of how often he pulled them on him, but it was part of what endeared the kirin to him ( ... )

"I do not know! Pure luck, perhaps." He could tease back, of course he could - there may have once, for the few moments after arriving in that Chamber again, been the worry of whether or not he could adjust to such a thing as residing in Death City again, but... obviously, he could. It was actually rather funny. It'd taken him months to find a partner before. This time, it'd only taken a few hours.

He knew that technically wasn't true, but it was still an amusing thought. In fact, he couldn't even hold back a small laugh about it ( ... )
