Socializing was something Rise had cut back a lot on since the recent events. In all honesty she only half wanted to be here. Especially after learning about Naoto--and discovering, after talking to Asuza, that the detective was in fact missing, she just didn't really have the spirits.
She was putting on an excellent show of feeling otherwise. She had come down in hopes of getting her mind off things, and because she was hungry. Maybe she should bring the others something back too...that is if they didn't show themselves.
Ash had caught word of this over the network and never one to miss out on food he'd arrived as quick as he could. Sitting to the side with a plate and lightly enjoying the strange food- he spotted a familiar redhead. He watched her, waiting to finish the food in his mouth before calling out. Something was up. He wasn't too sure what, but he knew he didn't like the way she was holding herself.
"Hey! Rise!" He waved her down before deciding to just get up and head over.
The voice was a familiar one, and one Rise had come to love.
She turned her head in the direction of the small boy and smiled--a small one, but real. It seemed like it had been a long time since the two had spoken and so she began to walk towards him to meet him halfway.
"Hey Ash. Looks like you're wasting no time partaking of the feast." she teased.
"Heh, yeah. I can't pass up food that looks this good." He emphasized the point by holding up the plate he'd managed to get together. He titled his head a bit before tugging at her sleeve, "Com on! There's loads of stuff you gotta try."
Yousuke found a corner, stood by it casually with glass in hand. He wasn't here so much for the meal as he was for the chance to meet the other Outsiders. After all, he'd signed the contract. It was time to really get to know who he was fighting with. An atmosphere this relaxing and open to all was a good to place to start.
Still: business didn't stop him from taking pleasure in the offered repast. Yousuke had almost forgotten what human food was like, owing to his stay in the spirit world and the suppression of his old life's memories while there. Didi and Magyar had done a great job, and he made sure they knew it.
Meanwhile his eyes roved over the gathered partygoers, not fixing on anyone in particular. Yet.
Winry had been hard at work on trying to create Edward's automail with insufficient tools. Not to mention trying to find some other means of communication aside from the PDA.
She was surprised by the amount of food upon entering. It was even more than they had shown!
She took her time in filling her plate, before looking around for a place to sit. All the chairs were taken for now, and she was half considering going back to her room when she spotted Yousuke in the corner. Always one mindful of wallflowers, she made her way to him.
Yousuke's taciturn features lit up with a welcome smile. "Sure thing." He stepped aside and gave her access to the open window sill, where she could set her plate down. He noticed what she'd put into her meal and the smile brightened.
"DiDi and Magyar've outdone themselves. Those sausages are especially good.", he recommended, having tried a bit of everything a few minutes ago.
She returned the smile. It was hard to find genuine smiles these days. Not that Winry could blame anyone, what with everything that had been happening, but it was still nice to find someone who managed to smile through it all.
"Thank you," She set her plate on the sill so politely provided and looked at the aforementioned sausages. They did look good. She picked one up and nibbles on it a bit before taking a bite.
"Mmm. They are!" It was very different from what she was use to, but definitely a good different.
She set her fork down for a moment before extending a hand "I don't think I've seen you around before. I'm Winry. Are you a recent arrival?"
