...someone attacked the clinic? She'd heard of Kishin or creatures affected by Maddness doing that, but why would a person attack the clinic?

"No one was hurt badly, right?" she'd resolved to treat him like anyone else she'd met in Death City, true, but it was difficult not to be worried for him specifically. And the smile did little to ease the worry; she'd been around enough guys his age to know that it meant nothing.

She met his gaze when he asked about her in return. So he noticed. She put on a polite, neutral expression, her very best poker face.

"I was on the Arizona Mission."
