Koujurou, on the other hand, never had any problem with excess energy. The man had always been incredibly busy by choice back in Hi-no-Moto, and his position in Death City was not very different.

The Oshu retainer was currently wandering around his section of the park, inspecting the fields. Was everything ready for the coming winter? He did not wish to lose his crops...

Lmao that icon. XD i_yukimura June 13 2011, 13:28:28 UTC
Today was the first time Yukimura had ever seen Koujuuro work on his garden, and truth be told, it was almost strange. Though it was still work, he seemed far more relaxed than usual.

"Katakura-dono!" The boy's greeting was enthusiastic, brimming with the sort of vitality adrenaline provided. His steps came to a stop perhaps several paces too late, and though he had yet to realize, something green had been trampled underfoot...

"It is a pleasure to see you this day!"

Nothing betrayed Koujurou beyond the slightest twitch of his eyebrow at the way Yukimura had come charging forward. Part of him knew, though, that he was lucky the cub hadn't barreled right through the field...

"Yukimura." He dipped his head in greeting. "I trust that I find you well this day?"

Best set. XD i_yukimura June 14 2011, 02:10:31 UTC
A fervent nod. Yukimura couldn't remember when he had been this happy; the only other time perhaps when Sasuke arrived (again).

"The match with Masamune-dono was most energizing!" Something hit him then. "But this one cannot shake the feeling that... there was something strange about Masamune-dono..."

Kuroro was bored. Or more like waiting for things to happen, which he knew they were -- with Roy Mustang and Kerrigan back, it was bound to come out sooner or later. He just wished it was sooner, so there would be something to do.

Kuroro was bored. And being bored meant wandering the city, looking for something to do. He had started in the usual places -- Commercial district, the clinic -- and now he was in the park.

"You look happy," he observed, noticing the boy in the middle of his walk. Yukimura Sanada, his mind supplied for him as he looked at the kid's appearance. One of those people from a time far away, partner to that girl who baked things.

And happy he was. Perhaps overbearingly so. If his senses weren't still so keen from the battle (he tended to take a while to settle back down again), the sudden remark might have startled the boy.

Yukimura wasn't sure he remembered ever having spoken to this man before, but he appeared friendly enough; Death City had yet to truly provide anybody Yukimura disliked (even Mouri).

"Yes! This one has just finished a session of sparring with Masamune-dono. The outcome aside, it is always a pleasure to duel The One Eyed Dragon!" An abrupt pause. "Ah-! Forgive this one's rudeness, my name is Sanada Yukimura!"

Wait, hasn't there been some confusion over his name because of a difference in culture?

"Ah. No. Yukimura... Sanada..."

Despite it being the same name simply backwards, it still felt foreign to his tongue.

"Oh, the one with the blue helmet," Kuroro said, remembering that entry. He hadn't paid much attention to Masamune Date after that, although Vergil had recently just pointed him out to Kuroro for a potentially good source of meister ability.

"Kuroro Lucifer," he replied politely, smiling in his amusement at the kid's confusion. "Would you prefer to be called Yukimura or Sanada?"

"B-blue helmet? S-such a bold description!" Yukimura isn't so much offended as he is surprised. "Masamune-dono is the much revered Chief of Oushuu! To simply speak of him as one with a blue helmet... He is much better known as one with an eyepatch!"

Well, there might have been one or two issues he missed there.

"Yukimura shall suffice. It is an honour to meet you, Kuroro-dono!" He bowed then, bending at the waist; something he was perhaps a little too accustomed to doing. Paying such respects was not customary by Death City's culture, but old habits die hard.

Whether it was an after-effect of having fought with a worthy opponent, or simply Yukimura's own curiosity, he found himself approaching the older man. It would have been rude to simply leave him be after all, considering they had both noted the presence of the other. The problem? Yukimura had never actually gone out of his way to speak with a stranger before. At least, not to simply say hello.

"Greetings!"

Hmm. That was simple enough.

He blinked once, twice, before he nodded. The other's weapons catch his eye, and yes, he does draw that conclusion. Was this man part of the Watch? Though Yukimura is not exactly a prime judge of character, the man appeared noble enough; he certainly did not appear to be hostile in any manner.

"Yes. This one is called Yukimura Sanada, second in command of Takeda Shingen's forces." Not that his rank is of any relevance in Death City... "Might this one inquire as to your name?"

Kasuga had caught snatches of the battle while she herself had trained. Even with her focus on her own body movements it was hard not to catch snatches of the fight between Oshu's dragon and Kai's cub. The two fighting between two such rivals, even though it was not nearly the same as Hi-No-Moto nor completely like that of Takeda and Uesugi Kenshin, was still something to behold.

As the kunoichi finished her own training, she toweled off the beads of sweat that had formed along her body before discarding the piece of cloth and turning to leave. Kasuga had not realized that Yukimura had gone in the same direction until she catches him shortly ahead of her.

"Sanada Yukimura," she calls out politely as she nears, offering him a respectable bow as she stops just short of the young general.

The Young Tiger pauses at the sound of his name, turning in the direction it had come from and smiling when he sees The God of War's retainer.

"Kasuga-dono," he bows in return. "How are you faring this day?"

"Well enough," she responded politely with a calm air about her. It was a nice day, particularly when it came to training. "I do not believe I have been given the chance to speak to you for some time, you are doing well, I hope?" Though a rival, she still held the young general to a high respect and truly cared for his well-being.

His smile turned almost nostalgic at that point. He hadn't actually managed to have a decent casual conversation with someone in a long time, save for Tohru. Some part of him felt it was necessary to always be formal around those from Hi-no-Moto, as if it was imperative they must always have something between themselves to attend to and discuss; simply chatting with them was new, but not at all unwelcome.

"Ah, yes! This one had finally had a chance to spar with Masamune-dono!"

Naturally while Yukimura had been crossing blades with Date Masamune, figuratively speaking, Sasuke had been observing while out of sight. The youth's battle cry had always been impossible to miss. He'd considered leaving them to it - how much trouble could they get up to with wooden weapons, really - until very, very quickly reconsidering. He definitely knew better than that. So he adopted a tolerant look and kept a watchful eye out.

Eons later when they were finally done beating each other up, and his charge began to move away, the shinobi glanced over from his perch in the trees and fluidly dropped from the branch he had been lounging upon. He landed in his familiar, respectful kneel.

"Danna," he greeted, before rising to his feet and giving a more casual, amused look. "Seems like some things never change." It was reassuring to see that Death City hadn't changed either of them.

To anybody else, having a shinobi suddenly appear before you would have been startling, but Sasuke had been with Yukimura for so many years now that it felt strange when he didn't make his presence known. That was why a spark of relief crossed his features before he nodded in acknowledgement.

"I would not have them any other way, Sasuke. Are you well?"

"Well enough," he replied, scratching at his cheek idly. Truth be told, he was being kept fairly busy between his usual duties and somehow finding the time to not only get used to all the new technology for making ninja tools, but also manage a highly frustrating kunoichi Meister.

"And you?" But he grinned more slyly and asked additionally, "How's Honda-san~?"

The heat that spread into his face felt foreign somehow; very much unlike the burn he feels in battle, but his heart rate increased nonetheless. Sasuke always had that twinkle in his eye, that quirk at the corner of his lips that could fluster Yukimura when coupled with the right words. He never considered such treatment rude - they were friends after all, weren't they? - but he wished Sasuke would keep it to a minimum.

It hardly ever happened.

"She is.. fine." his eyes traveled elsewhere. "We are doing alright."

A change in topic was in order before his actions were read like a book. Not that that required any sort of special skill, of course.

"I have heard you acquired yourself a partner, Sasuke. How is it to act together with a shinobi from a different world?"
