HEADQUARTERS thewarisover April 15 2011, 15:33:38 UTC
[Roy isn't actually around for most of the 5th - he's left Armstrong and Hawkeye in charge of things in his absence.

A transmission, however, comes in at around 11 PM from the Commander, informing the lot of you of his position. He'll be camping out at the steps of Shibusen with cigarettes, coffee and a pack of sandwiches.

Bug him if you need to. In fact, even if you DON'T need to, bug him. He's been in dire need of people to talk to these days.]

[After a bit of debate Date decides to swing around and pay Roy a visit, since he hasn't had much of a chance to talk to the guy in the last couple of weeks. Now that he's finally settled his stuff, the samurai supposes he really needs to start making up for what he's missed anyway.

So here he is, going to where Roy is a good while after his transmission. He's not in his usual armoured attire, but rather wearing something that's much more tolerable under the Nevada climate. The steps are annoying to climb as ever, but Date manages it easily and settles down beside the other man without another word.]

[An acknowledging glance, as he's pulling the cigarette from his lips.

Been a while, Date.]

[Been a while indeed. Date only spares Roy a glance before he snorts, running one hand through his hair before he speaks.]

Looks like you've been through quite a bit.

[A busy area, in spite of everything. Some shops are still closed for repairs, though, and others sport broken windows and the like.]

Shift Two--Toph and Gray terra_inflexus April 16 2011, 01:16:46 UTC
[This sucked. There was absolutely nothing of major note going on. Which, Toph supposed, was a good thing but it was a boring good thing.]

Any more shops reopened recently, Frosty?

[ Gray shrugged. It was nearly midnight, toward the end of their shift, and he was tired. They were on their way to Gray's bike, parked just across from the mall, when it happened - a shout, a laugh, the rev of an engine. Even if Gray had a more verbose reply, he wouldn't have given it. Instead, he kept a critical eyes on the man on the stolen motorcycle - at least, he thought it was being stolen. The call of "Thief! That guy stole my bike!" from a man across the street cemented it.

He started running to his own bike, still a couple dozen feet away, grabbing Toph's wrist in his hand as he went. ] Come on! Looks like we got some action.

Hey hey hey hey hey! No need to drag me!

[She follows, regardless]

I hate riding on this thing, just so you know.

[Dead by day, all lights and brilliance and seediness by night.

Try not to get distracted by the, uh, merchandise, all right?]

Date, Dante and Havoc - FLASHER WHAT getyourgunson April 16 2011, 02:56:11 UTC
[Their new shifts aren't up yet, so for now he's still doing his old patrol. Date doesn't mind at all, of course, though a part of him is interested in seeing just where he and Dante will be assigned to come tomorrow. Still, its something he can think about later since there is the patrol to attend to - he can wonder about it once his shift is over.

...hard to believe that this is the last time he'll be on shift duty. Come tomorrow, he'll be a Zone Leader. Might as well milk tonight's shift duty for all that its worth while he's still on it.

And that means he really needs to look into getting a bike as well, since he hasn't gotten around to it ever since Justin Law broke his last one all the way back in September.]

[And here is your partner, completely ignorant of the fact that come tomorrow, he will no longer be working in the best district. He's just walking and whistling to keep himself entertained and resisting the urge to go 'talk' to some of the workers.

He's only just been reassigned to this district and to think he'll no longer be working here tomorrow... What a bummer.]

[It was yet another usual day. Dropping the last of his paperwork off at the office, Havoc strolled briskly for the Red Light district.

By now, he was used to people coming and going in Death City-- BREW and all that. It was just slightly disheartening that his partner(?) was one of the ones that was sent back, this time. Back to square one.

With a sigh, he stepped out of the office, ready to start his patrol.]

[An uneventful shift this time around, it seems...

Takasugi's already seen Okita off. He's idling around now, for the lack of anything better to do.]

[These last few days have been nothing short of exhausting for Gintoki, who now feels as though he ought to have a week off for all of his work. As it turns out, Katsura is the one with the week off, and Gintoki is patrolling on his behalf. He's glad Roy kept him out of work, but that isn't stopping him from grumbling as he slowly walks down the street.]

>BUSTS IN WITH CRIMINAL (so late augh I'm sorry) putsbuttonsonit April 21 2011, 23:11:42 UTC
[ There he'd been! The slime that was stalking a young girl... Nago couldn't stand it. He forced the man out of the corner, though he wriggled past to make a break for it. ]

Please stop running! I will apprehend you whether you like it or not.

[ Barely-contained rage is in his voice, mostly frustration at not being able to get the criminal initially. The chase had led him here-- from the inner city all the way to the Outer section (possibly to a hideaway, Nago surmised. The rats always had holes in the wall) ]

Please stop!
