AROUND EVENING [CLOSED] thebestandwurst December 17 2010, 09:20:21 UTC
It was a decent party, he supposed, especially considering that it was thrown together last minute and the constricted space. Nothing close to München but the atmosphere was similar enough for Germany to take some measure of comfort in it, especially with the past few weeks behind them.

But October 3, 2009 was not the end of that year's Oktoberfest. The day after was, with the recent extension to accommodate Tag der Deutschen Einheit, recent enough that Preußen, coming from seven decades past, would not know of it even when it was so centered around his person. Their reunification was important enough to Germany that the thought would not stop disturbing him even through the festivities, keeping him sober through the drinks.

He was standing by the kegs at that moment, nursing a cold glass of beer and trying to make a quick, mental inventory of everything the party had consumed throughout the day. Not an easy task given the beer swimming in his head...

Prussia was thoroughly tipsy, running around the festival with happiness that he hadn't felt for a while. Although he never showed it, he had been quite unhappy as of late ( ... )

Germany, as always, stoically nodded in agreement with his brother. It had been a thoroughly decent party, and he could see that people were happy or at least lightened enough by it to stop looking so destroyed. Even Kanda had come around.

"It... is excellent. Of course. We always know how to do it right, after all." A small hint of his old people's arrogance, mostly taken from Preußen.

At the back of his mind, he knew they should be doing better tomorrow, but the fact that it wasn't going to happen put a small frown on his face.

[Rather, he's hovering awkwardly near the tables, poking at a plate of potato cakes and sauerkraut, and staring at the wall of beer barrels with a sort of quiet marvel. It's sort of like looking at an incredibly large roller coaster, the kind of thing that fills you with both awe (wow that looks cool) and absolute dread (wow there's going to be a lot of drunks) all at once.

Not that the untrained eye can detect a lot of that. This is Enma we're talking about, he seems a little in awe, but mostly just bored.

And then he takes another stab at the kraut, and it squirts him in the eye.

Doubled over in vinegar-y pain.]

[Fortunately, Katsura saw it so he gets some drinking water (Hey, it can't be dirty) for Enma. Only real problem...is trying to get Enma to hold it.]

Enma-kun, use this!

[He's rubbing his eye as he straightens himself up a bit and reaches out to take the water -- of course, robbed of his depth perception, his hand doesn't quite make it there]

[ that's a disappointing score, Shalnark.

it's not perfect. and if there's one thing Tres strives for, it's perfection. so yes, he's not letting go of that mic until he gets a ten.

and no, he's not drunk. ]

Requesting the criteria necessary to fulfill in order to get a perfect score.

Fakir wasn't in the clinic because he was injured, himself. He just wasn't about to leave Ahiru's side after finally getting her back, especially not when she was hurt and sick, and especially not for a party. He hadn't given any thought to Oktoberfest at all, tradition or not. There had been much more pressing matters at hand.

He was currently sitting quietly next to Ahiru's bed, keeping her company and making sure she was resting.

Ahiru honestly didn't even know what day it was. Being in that dark cell almost all of the time made it hard to tell when it was day or night or just how many days went by. And she hadn't thought to ask once she had been rescued, either.

For now, she was behaving as a patient should and getting plenty of bed rest to help her recovery along. With the help of the clinic workers, her fever was starting to come down a little, at least. And Fakir had been by her side the whole time.

At the moment, she was awake, though she didn't try to get up, lest her companion berate her for moving around too much.

Like Prussia had promised earlier, he and his brother stopped by to bring everyone a little something from the party and perhaps to chat up with a few of them. Because even if there was a cause for celebration, some people couldn't join whether it was for physical OR emotional reasons. So at least this way, the German countries could do something a little different for them.

Prussia spots the little girl he rescued not too long ago and the citizen that came with them and waved. It looked like they were both awake, at least! "Aha, aha!"

He quickly stopped and placed a finger to his lips, shushing himself. "Shhhh."
