He took the stairs at his usual place--deliberately, but not slowly. So...there was a potential partnership waiting for him outside. If Vincent were anyone else, he would have been happy. But he was just himself. A person who didn't like socialising. Or partnership. Or anything of that nature. He wasn't extremely vocal about it; if it had to be done, he would do it. And in this case, there was no other option if he wanted to fight ( ... )

The sound of the door opening caught her attention, and Faye turned around to see if the man who just arrived matched the video image. Tall? Check. Dark hair? Check. Affinity for black and red? Check. Broody countenance? Double check~ This was her guy all right.

"Hey~" she sang out in greeting, demeanor shifting abruptly to something cheerful as she walked over to Vincent. "So we finally meet." Faye surreptitiously tried to study him, his movements, to get an idea of what he could do, though the appraisal she decided to offer was flippant and nothing more.

"You know, I thought you'd be taller person," she said with a teasing smile. Ten to one he wouldn't get the reference. Heck, she didn't even know if television existed in his world.

A part of him was rather tempted to panic a little and say some excuse about today being too warm, but he squashed that feeling down as fast as he could. Spotting her, he moved over before he quickly glanced over her.

...and then he decided he would never understand fashion, especially women's fashion. But at least after two to three years of knowing Yuffie, he wouldn't consider this scandalous. "Hn," he nodded his head in acknowledgment of her words.

"...taller? Am I not tall enough?" Six feet at that....and the reference clearly goes over his head, sadly.

"Normally I don't work with anyone under 6'5", but for you, I'll make a concession."

As soon as the words left her mouth, a little voice in the back of her head reminded her that she should behave herself and lay off the teasing...smidge anyway...at least until they made this partnership thing official. Speaking of, she had no idea what exactly the next step of that process would be.

Faye rubbed the back of her neck and grinned, thinking of a way to fill the awkward pause that was sure to follow. "So how about we move this party - preferably somewhere air conditioned. It's too hot just to stand around, don't you think?"
