Description: With a new partnership in the works, Faye and Vincent decide to meet to test their resonation.

Faye toyed with her communicator as she waited in front of Casualty Communal for Vincent to arrive and thought it was kind of funny how things had turned out. To be perfectly honest, finding a partner wasn’t something that had been high on Faye’s list of things to do when she first arrived in Death City. That honor had gone to complaining, locating cigarettes, and finding a way out - more or less in that order. But while nicotine could be tracked down, an escape route remained elusive. She was going nowhere fast and needed a plan B if she was going to remain grounded. That plan took the form of a partner.

To do much of anything in this place, it seemed to her that one needed a partner. There was just one problem. Partnerships required putting a fair amount of trust in another person, and Faye’s M.O. for years had been to keep everyone else at arm’s length, giving only enough to get back what she needed. She liked her privacy. She liked her independence. She liked maintaining a barrier if it meant people couldn’t get close enough to hurt her. It made her feel safe. Unfortunately without a partner, she felt her physical safety was threatened. It came as a shock to learn that her traditional means of defense amounted to a hill of beans when it came to the war going on.

Self-preservation and visions of easy money missions (How difficult could they be from bounty hunting?) eventually won out over her hesitations with trust. She could make this work. Besides, she thought as she began pacing the front of the building,Vincent seemed like a pretty stand up guy. Maybe a little on the stiff side but not the type to drop her and run.

Faye paused and frowned a little. She had been wrong before. Mentally crossing her fingers, she hoped this time luck would smile on her.
