He hadn't yet seen many other people, so stumbling over a large, silver-haired man had been the last thing he had really expected. Not sure of the man, and certainly having not yet met him, D kept held back at first, covertly admiring the other's animal-like grace and beauty from a distance. Eventually, though, he realized he would have to meander past the other at some point, and continued forward.
"Good morning," he said softly but cheerfully as he came closer, mindful of his voice in the midst of a library.

He stopped and turned to regard the one in question. It took him a moment to actually place the gender, and with a slender brow rising, Sephiroth forced the confused frown from his face and spoke, "And just who might you be?"
The fact that someone had dared to approach him was one thing, but to do so with such a friendly gesture felt foreign to the ex-General

He smiled, forcing himself not to frighten the other off. Some humans did not take well to being fawned over, after all. "My name is Count D," he said, touching long fingers to his chest and inclining his head slightly. "And you are?"

The man's title went completely passed Sephiroth's notice, and he simply took it to actually be the Count's name. Eyes narrowing subtly, the ex-General remained silent for a short while before eventually answering, "Sephiroth."

Suffice to say, the sight of Sephiroth of all people in the one section of the library that he couldn't have ever imagined the man being in was surprising.
"Oya? What's this?"
The dark-haired man peered at the other curiously, with a tiny little smile.

The familiar voice caused his muscles to instantly tense. While his thoughts on the meister were slowly improving, Mukuro was hardly one he desired to find him in such a situation.
"Mukuro," Sephiroth greeted while outright ignoring the question and smile aimed at him. He didn't miss the few books the meister held, and inwardly decided that if he needed further information, that searching elsewhere might be best.

Have a Mukuro walking right over to stand beside him and join him.

It was only fortunate that the topic he'd been researching wouldn't be obvious, given the section he was in. Still, that hardly made the ex-General feel any more positive over this situation.

Not too loud or brash of a call, more of a friendly shout from one metaphorical end of a baseball diamond to another - but since this was a library and not a playing field, the echo of the bid was probably pretty great. Hughes was up on one of those rolling ladders in the adjourning History of the World section, three books tucked under one arm and a hand settled on the binding of a fourth; nonetheless, he was looking down and over at the man passing below, smile amiable even as his position was a bit precarious.
Sephiroth, his mind supplied him with. The silver hair and green eyes gave the other away. Unless it was that other one - Kadaj - but he doubted it. Whatever the case, he didn't say anything more until he got a response: if the man was irritable, talking too much probably wouldn't have turned out well ( ... )

He had every intention of simply ignoring the fool, but for some reason, the ex-General found himself rooted to the stop as he stared up at the other man. Raising a slender brow, his expression remained devoid of emotion as he spoke, "Yes?"

"Would you mind telling me if there's a green book on the second shelf up called Odysseus?" It would be there, he knew, unless someone had snuck by and grabbed it, which was rather unlikely.

He could try to, anyway. He had to concede that a lot was going on now, what with Dante showing up to plague him even in this world, and the fact that he had somehow agreed to tell both Roy Mustang and Date Masamune what was practically his life story. Beyond that he still had to find the time to meet people, as per advice he seemed to have received in an odd, lucid dream. Of course, it had ultimately paid off when he met Aerith, but it was still strangeIt was equally strange to be back in the library during the morning. Both of the times when Vergil had come in his first few ( ... )

His movements came to a stop, though, when someone seemed to find it prudent to block his path. Cat-like eyes flickered up to regard the one in front of him, and while he understood the glance in his direction, Sephiroth remained exactly where he was.
There was a momentary narrowing of his eyes, the gesture done to show that he more than understood it, before a challenging smirk began curving on his lips. There was no doubt to his expression and demeanour that he wasn't about to move, and the only way he would, was either after the fool in front of him walked around, or he moved him aside with his sword.

In the past, he'd had to mostly avoid libraries out of consideration to the inevitable collateral damage that followed him wherever he went. Death City had been pleasant to him, what with its lack of a constant flow of demon attack. The recent memory of toppling bookshelves during the earthquakes proceeding Asura's attack was also still fresh in Vergil's mind. He really didn't appreciate this.
So, face otherwise unmoving, one eyebrow raised almost imperceptibly. Really? You want to do this here?

The raised brow drew a darkly amused chuckle from Sephiroth. The sound was smooth as it drifted between them, and with a far-too-pleasant smile curving on his lips, the ex-General finally spoke, "You would do well to remove yourself from my path."

That would be one coincidental meeting too many if he decided to approach him. Not to mention that there was no need for him to. Very well, then. With a breath, he continues on, leaving the other Weapon to his own agenda.
Perhaps if he had glanced his way, he would have seen the red of his coat and hair standing out amidst the shadows of shelves and walls, but it was all up to Sephiroth if he wanted to pursue him.
