Characters: Stein and YOU Location: Stein's lab Rating: Always the potential for R... Time: Sept. 10th Description: If for some Shinigami-forsaken reason you want to talk to Dr. Stein in person.
[At your feet, a small robotic(?) mouse with glowing red eyes appears, and looks up at you. After a moment, the door you knocked on clicks and swings inward with an eerie squeak. Beyond is a wide, dim hallway faintly lit with green light.
From somewhere within the depths of the building you can hear a man's voice yell:]
Welcome~!
[The mouse rolls over the foundation of the building and into the hallway, perhaps intending to guide you? Do you follow?]
[The mouse makes a squeaky rolling noise to accompany it's natural whirring noises, and takes Tohru deeply into the large building, past several closed doors which leak multihued lights from around their frames, until finally they come to an open door, which leads directly into Stein's research lab.
There are several computer monitors, but they, along with a table full of a few candles and jars containing things you probably don't want to look too closely at, are the only lights in the room. Still, it's bright enough to make out Stein's silhouette, crouched over his spinny chair.]
Yoo~
[Stein abruptly whirls in his chair, spinning in seven or eight full, swift circles before stopping one leg down on the floor to come to a full stop facing Tohru. His glasses glint but he has a wide smile on.]
Welcome! I wasn't expecting a visitor. Did you come to participate?
[With no apparently warning, the door of the building clicks open and swings outward. You can hear a sound coming from within the depths of the building. It sounds like... rolling.]
[The rolling comes fast, wild almost, and Shizuo can see some form emerging quickly in the darkness, perhaps make out that it seems to be the form of a hunched man coming toward him backwards. Despite the distance, the figure doesn't slow at all until he's about to crash into Shizuo--
But instead crashes into the floor, as the wheel of the rolly chair catches on the foundation of the building and sends Stein landing hard, flat on his back.
Ah...
[For his part, Stein doesn't seem bothered by the fall, or his bizarre entrance, or Shizuo's presence. He blinks up at Shizuo past his glasses.]
[Calm. Calm. Calm. What was it about facing one's fears that made it so difficult to actually carry out? Well, he wasn't going to let that monster know that he was afraid of him. Still afraid of him. No, he was going to prove that he was the kind of prince that he always said that he was.
Wiping at his face, he kept his sniffling down to a minimum before standing outside of the building. Yes, this was good. Very small baby steps as he pointed dramatically at it.]
I will one day make you pay for all that you have made Spirit suffer through.
[Clovis let out a sigh as he felt much better in saying it to the figurative face of Stein, before turning to leave.]
[Abruptly, the door to the lab suddenly pops open. If Clovis is standing too close, he may get a door in the face! And if not, well... that sure is a dark and eerie hallway...]
[No, he had already turned to walk away so it wasn't his face that got smacked by the door. Though his face did hit the ground rather roughly afterward. Getting up off on his hands and knees, he held his poor nose.
Quickly reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a compact mirror to see if there was any real damage. Just a bit of dirt and the like, but otherwise, he seemed fine. Using the mirror to look behind him, he was glad to see that there was no one behind him, but that didn't stop him from standing up suddenly enraged.]
And your building is built by a shabby designer! If you're the one who created this place, I hope that you're ashamed of such a faulty and hideous layout!
[His heel stomped the ground a few times to further his point. Now it was time to leave, because that really hurt.]
[That Sun. That Moon. And now this...building(?) that looked like it was part of a child's textile project. Could this place possibly get any more absurd?]
[After her first day of testing out her abilities in the woods, Lust had subconciously wandered deeper, while lost in thought, and managed to arrive here. The alchemists were also around and she needed her own capabilities returned or at least strengthened - somehow. And that "somehow" was the biggest problem right now]
[Sighing, she pulled her mind away from those thoughts when she realised she was now stood directly infront of that suspicious looking building. Might as well explore it while there was nothing else to do]
[Takes an instinctive step back as the door suddenly opens, expecting someone or something to exit, uncertain of whether this is such a good idea after all. She of all people knew entering a dark abandoned looking building in the middle of the night wasn't a good idea. The only difference in this case would be that she wasn't the one waiting on the inside, preparing to strike...]
[Nothing appears to be happening. Far down the hallway, the lights shift and change a bit, suggesting movement, but otherwise, the building is silent.]
[Hey, creepy things and Rei go together like bread and butter. She's walking around, taking pictures with a camera she bought from...somewhere, and jotting down notes every once in a while.
And then she saw the building. There's every instinct telling her she really shouldn't go in, but she's seen scarier places before. She's still exhausted, only sleeping maybe an hour at a time because she's too afraid of falling back into that dream and having her soul devoured completely.
Otherwise, she'd bee sleeping for several days to catch up on all that she's technically missed.
Anyhow she gives a light knock on the door before going to push it open]
[The door does not push open. Twisting the knob yields that it is locked.
Yet, a moment after she tried to open the door, it swings open on it's own. Beyond is a long, wide, and dimly lit corridor. The halls and floor seem to be marked with the same patchwork design as the exterior.]
[To her credit, Rei isn't afraid and doesn't even react as the door swings open. Gripping onto her camera like it was her weapon, she made her way inside and down the hallway, keeping her mouth shut and her eyes open for anything]
[The hallway has several doors. The first is locked, but the second is not. There is also an open doorway further down the hall, judging by the lighting emitting from it.]
