Shibusen Side
Shibusen hadn't had it easy for the past decade. While they had been able to ward off the witches with the barrier at the start, they hadn't counted on the witches having Crane and Angelica on board. Death City hadn't been prepared for the gasses and the modified witches, and that was the beginning of the end. The fall was quick, Shibusen and Death City unable to withstand the constant attacks from the witches, the toxins, the experiments, the betrayals, and the occasional visit from Asura. It wasn’t long after that the barrier made from Adachi’s soul fell and Shibusen fled underground.
Shibusen and the refugees are now located under the former Death City, in underground tunnels and caves that have been extended into a complicated labyrinth of rooms. It has a protective barrier of its own, made from the souls of kishins. The city had all but dragged its supplies from above ground here, constructing a rough and tumble base that is not unlike a mine, for the most part uneven and inconsistent in stucture. Electricity is scarce and rationed. Appliances work and the tunnels are dimly lit by a string of lights in every corridor. Someone did backbreaking work to make sure that the base has a working plumbing and water filtration system, at least. There are rooms for everyone, big and small, though the bigger rooms are shared between civilians and the unpartnered. The guests are no longer called such -- they have been very much integrated into Shibusen by now.
This is your new home.
The first day of September, Kid returns to Shibusen with two unknown figures, and sends a letter to China. Rumors start to circulate as to who these two may be, and despite no formal announcements being made, the base is noisy with theories and questions on why two girls seemingly from the past are there. However, the next day, Kid gives Winry and Miranda permission to walk around and get settled, giving everyone the chance to see that they are indeed people who have long been thought to be lost. A few days later and CWC receives Death the Kid's letter -- a reply is immediately sent, received by Shibusen a couple of days later. This is when Death the Kid officially makes the announcement to the underground Shibusen community: Winry Rockbell and Miranda Lotto are back, after being missing for the past ten years. He also announces that Kanda and Yuuri have been found in CWC -- and China's missive states that they also appear to be from ten years ago.
TIMELINE OF EVENTS
