Shibusen is a considered evacuation site for events like these. You may run here for shelter if you’re sane enough to think of it.

Spirit! Genesis! His heels slapped loudly on the pavement as he continued to run toward the school. It had been about when he saw the static and the black mass coming out of his television that he decided that he needed to get to safety. Needed to ask those two to look after his sister! There wasn't anyone else that he could trust with it. Uncertain if he even had his communicator in his pocket or not as his arms did a flailing gesture every so often in his frantic panic to get to his friends ( ... )

Rin didn't know what was going on. This was all madness, it had to be! The streets seemed to be moving and the shadows in the streets were definitely moving. Spiders were inside the communicator and it didn't make any sense! Not that anything in this ridiculous world made sense. This madness was probably common place for the locals.

Oh, they probably thought they could get her. Yes. Cute little Rin, so helpless, always needing someone else to help her find her way. No doubt this was just a big joke on poor little Rin. But she had them. Yes, she had them cornered. They just didn't know it yet. Little Rin had grown up, she could save herself just fine, thank you. This wasn't going to go as easy as they'd hoped! And then, hahaaha Ha HA, the joke would be on them.

Grinning wicked(maniacal)ly, Rin stalked down the streets of Death City, a large knife in her hand, and watched the shadows. But when she heard someone coming, running in her direction, she sank back into an alley. This was her chance. She would catch one and make them tell ( ... )

Where are they?! For some reason, he was starting to think that they should have come to find him by now rather than have him continue to run toward the school as he was. The flailing of his arms had started to increase before he slammed his hand into the wall adjacent to an alley in his sprinting. The pain of it registered a good five seconds afterward as he stared at his hand, before sitting down on the ground.

"Ow, ow, ow." Rubbing the top of his hand with the other, he looked around to see if anyone was present before going to take his gloves off. It really was something quite intimate to him to actually show his hands to another person, but he wanted to make sure that he hadn't broke the skin or anything. At the very least, it was enough to get him to stop running about like a fool.

The perfection of a prince would not allow him to bleed through his white gloves. Pretty white gloves. The crazed thought slipped in and out without any realization that it was even thought. Of course, the only issue was that the tops of his gloves ( ... )

He'd felt the madness hit like a creeping feeling up his spine, a spider rustling inside his skull, and the urge to kill something overriding most everything else. But he was used to a little of that, and he put it on the backburner, just barely stabilizing himself before heading out the door to run up the stairs towards the roof. He wanted a better view of what was going on out there, and he couldn't speak for his own sanity when faced with a mass of people.

He paused at the slam of a door against the wall, looking out from the stairwell to see what the fuss was, just in case someone he knew lived on that floor... No, it was just some weird redheaded kid. Still, he looked mighty shaken, and Cyril couldn't help but speak up, despite the itching urge to just end whatever suffering the kid was going through.

"Are you all right?"

His eyes darted from left to right as he stopped in the hallway, just outside the door, suddenly lost, frightened, unsure of his direction. He gripped at the wall, heart racing, searching for a way to escape to somewhere anywhere, he just had to get out get out get out--

And then there was someone in the hallway with him, closing in, speaking to him. All right? Did he look all right?

Enma turned to the speaker, taking deep breaths, trying to maintain some sort of composure, trying to stay the fear that was bubbling up inside of him, and gave his visitor a shaken sort of stare

The first bang had sent Watson's teacup over the edge of the table, distracting the man from the commotion outside. The second had startled him as much as the first, and by the third, Watson was thoroughly convinced that the city was under attack. He scrambled to his feet from where he had been attempting to pick up the cup shards, slicing his thumb in the process, and made his way to the window.

"What in the world?" He watched with mouth agape at the scene unfolding before him, the monster sitting atop them all being blasted away by that child from Shibusen. The doctor pressed his nose to the glass and that was most of what Watson saw before an Afghan was shrieking right in front of him. "--ack!"

Watson jerked back, hitting his hip painfully on the desk, before finding himself on the floor hiding from gunfire and bullets, coughing at the dust and terrified at the screaming. No, he thought desperately. He was going to die, he was still so young, this was his first assignment ( ... )

The first shake had caught Holmes off guard as he headed back towards the area he had left Watson in. Sighing in annoyance as the shakes continued, he gained his balance and quickened his pace. He wasn't sure if Watson would attempt to help some poor fellow who'd slipped outside in this sort of 'weather'.

"*in a slightly bored tone* Watson are you sti-"

It was the hardest thing one could manage, to confuse the great detective Sherlock Holmes. It was a greater achievement to surprise the man as well, but being able to cause both emotion to race across his face was nearly impossible. Still the scene that met him as he returned to his Boswell had him frozen in place.

He shook out of his stupor and rushed towards Watson, reaching for the other man's wrist to wrestle the blade from his hand. "John, what are you doing!?"

No, no, they were taking it from him! Watson looked up at Holmes but did not recognize him, face streaked with panic and terror. The other man was stronger than he, he could not keep his scalpel and his leg was going to die.

"Please do give that back," he protested weakly, his thigh a bloody mess.

Moving in with Saralegui might not have been one of his brightest ideas, and he blamed it partially on the fact that the older boy had caught him off guard, on a day he wasn't in his right mind. Sasuke didn't play well with others, and honestly there was only so much of that king he could take in one day. Living with him meant having to deal with his habits on a daily basis and whatever other ticks he had. Of course, it was a far cry better from moving in with Seimei, but Sasuke would have preferred his life of solitude to having to dance around another person all the time. Which was why he found himself leaving more often, regardless of how this might have been the opposite of what living together was meant to be ( ... )

Saralegui didn't mind the close quarters quite so much -- less privacy, perhaps, but more security in having his weapon more easily accessible. Of course, this came at the price of having less time alone with Yuuri. So while Sasuke was coming in, the blond was on his way out, ready to go find his friend ( ... )

He shook against the pavement, groceries forgotten, nails curling into rock as though to get some kind of purchase, to ground himself. But the feeling was not unlike the time he'd ingested that pill from the Sound Four. Distantly, he heard a familiar voice, but he couldn't decipher what it was or what they were saying behind the rush of blood in his own ears. Quivering, his head turned slightly against the sidewalk, the tomoe in the red of his Sharingan turning over as he glanced up at Saralegui. And the spread stopped, just briefly, long enough for the black tattoo to settle on his skin ( ... )

"-I'm telling you we can get away with it. It's free anyway, and if there isn't a law against me working as a host, we can definitely take some drinks baaaahh hah?!"

Kida's attempt to convince Mikado to purchase several varieties of alcohol along with the other basic shopping essentials was cut short as there was a loud bang, followed by several others which shook the floor and made jars and cans jitter off the shelves of the grocery store and onto the floor.

He looked up, almost expecting to see the ceiling carved open or collapsing, but is relieved to see that the earth quake didn't seem to be destroying the building. Not yet anyway, but he held his breath a few extra seconds.

And while he was waiting to see if any more tremors came, grocery basket held loosely in one hand, something else hit him instead. Like a strong gust of wind but not one that stopped at his flesh, and instead seemed to push through it, into what Kida could now recognize as his soul; the part of him that pulsed when he resonated with Celty. Now it suddenly ( ... )

A jolt rushed through Mikado at the quake, abruptly wrenching him out of listening to a word Kida was saying, and he went quiet as well. And then, just like Kida, Mikado utterly froze as his guts wrenched and a slow crawl prickled over his skin.

There was none of the excitement that usually accompanied that now-familiar pressure of fear squeezing Mikado's body into a dead still stand. He made a small choking noise in his throat as he jumped abruptly to desperation.

He dropped the basket, Kida wasn't exactly sure when. Nor was he really aware of... well. Really anything going on around him.

It was the Madness Wavelength, even past his sudden gripping terror he was fully aware of that. He'd experienced it at the battle at NORAD, the way it flickered in and out him the entire battle as he moved to and from the range of Takeshi's aura. And while it hadn't done much more than upset him then, halfway through the battle it had surged, and startled him, scared him, the kishin eggs had strengthened and he'd gotten stupidly hurt.

Those cuts seemed to burn now and he reached to his side.

But even then it hadn't been anything like this. Never this powerful, never this frightening even when Squalo had turned on them, lost in the grip of his own madness.

He tried to lift his head and look around and found he couldn't. Tried to move his legs, and found them frozen. It was just like that time. Just like before. He was frozen in the rain and Saki...
