[It's perfectly normal to fret over meeting your partner's partner. Or so, at least, it's normal if you don't exactly know them and they're named after a country, and you'd rather avoid people, but. He already told Arashi he would be there, and he even already seen Fuuma --

-- which is how he ends up, paper in hand that contains Arashi and China's room number and building, in Death City Heights, staring at the door as if it were going to eat him if he touched it. However absurd the thoughts was, it certainly illustrated just how nervous he had become (nothing like visiting Fuuma though, that's horrific in its own way). And it's only a matter of time before he mans up and reaches out, knocking on the door timidly, thrice. And he waits, hand lowering again as he clutches the paper in the other and looking everywhere but the door.]

[small knocks. not a good sign - was it Lithuania, cowering over Russia? bad timing - but still a sign, so China frowns slightly and proceeds to answer. Arashi had only informed him of having dinner with a guest from his world. so when he opened the door, he wasn't sure what he was expecting to find.]

[not a rather short muzzy-haired Japanese boy clutching a piece of paper, though. (well, maybe the Japanese part).]

[a blink.]

[headtilt. neutral voice, which meant a bit polite, a bit flat.] Kamui, is it?

[she hears the knocking as well from the living room where she'd been playing with Miyu.

stands, makes her way over, smiles - really and honestly smiles with no hesitation, though it's a tiny smile - at their visitor]

Good evening, Kamui-san.

[At first he thought he knocked on the wrong door, what with the unfamiliar person who answered it, but as soon as he seen Arashi he knew there was no escape. Then again, he wouldn't have tried to anyhow.

He looks from the person who had answered the door, then to Arashi, before nodding.] Y-yes ... [Um.] Good evening.

[she leads Kamui over to the table, which is already set.

holds her hands out to him to take Miyu from him]

Here, I'll place her somewhere where she can roll around in her sleep in peace.

[and not... roll off the table or something]

[Following her as he's lead to the table, the held out hands make him a start a little but he has a firm hold so that Miyu doesn't fall out of his arms or something and give him a heart attack. However, when he sees that the held out hands are for the kitten and not to jostle or scare him in any way, shape, or form. Nevermind that it's Arashi -- the place just unsettles him in a very weird way.

But he eventually hands Miyu over, carefully, with an apologetic smile.]

[glancing back toward, but-- another one of those moments that he feels he shouldn't be privy to, has him turning off and making sure the table's fully set (it is) and neat.]

[and, of course, watching the exchange from the corner of his eyes. right. taking a seat.]

[takes the kitten back to her room and wanders back to the table, peering at the food set out.

turns to her partner, looking pleased]

Dinner looks good.

[it's a quiet compliment, sincere if a little hesitant.]
