[Okay, the pastry shop was awesome. And to make it even better, there were free pastries. Not...that she was hungry, though. At least not yet. But the pastries were really pretty-looking. Don't mind her, she's not going to have one yet.

But instead, she'll just look around for familiar faces]

[ Maka spots the new arrival, and walks over to her carrying a small tray with cupcakes on it. She's got to be a good host, after all!! ]

Ah, hello! Would you like some?

[ She motions to the tray, smiling. ]

[Dawn blinks twice, looking at the cupcakes before deciding.]

Sure, if it's okay, of course. [She's a bit embarrassed, since it might be a bit impolite to just take it without making sure that it's fine for her to get it]

[ Maka nods and holds out the tray to her. ]

Of course it is! I was just getting ready to sit them down on the table for when everyone got here.

[There Kid was...at the pastry table. With gloves on, he was carefully moving every pastry centimeter by centimeter. Using his ruler, he was making sure that EVERY SINGLE PASTRY WAS CAREFULLY IN LINE.

He knew he couldn't leave this job to Soul and Maka. They overlooked the most important details! Look! How can you accept a pastry that has an extra millimeter of frosting on the side?! He took care of all that though...

Just this last pastry and everything would be perfect...]

[ She doesn't see them, anyway, but perhaps she missed them in the chaos of setting everything up. ]

[This was a good chance to find a weapon, right? Shalnark couldn't miss this opportunity especially since he figured finding a partner would be a difficult task. He would somehow have fo find a way to attract a partner that could match the wavelength of a mass criminal with a nice personality, and that didn't sound like it would be easy. However, he admitted that he didn't know much about the topic of souls. He only knew of the things mentioned on the network, in the classrooms, and using the existing partnerships as samples.

He pushed his glasses up along the bridge of his nose, and peered at the people around him wondering if he recognized any of the faces. There were quite a few mostly from the network. This many people without partners, huh..?

Ah, well! At least if anything, he was getting free refreshments and free anything is nice!]

[Minatsuki had told several people she was coming, so it's not like she could back out now, could she? Even if the last thing she wanted was to be here, nice girls don't go back on their words, not if they could help it. And going on the mission itself didn't seem too bad; she might even get to see some bloodshed.

But, partnership. That was the problem. She didn't want to partner up with any of these idiots. And there was the risk, even if it was small, that she'd manage a resonation here. So what was she supposed to do? There's always the possibility that someone would get suspicious because she didn't try anything. Well, if nothing else, she could try it with a stranger - it was even less likely to work that way, right? And this person sure didn't look familiar... Even if there was a chance he was one of the texters she'd talked too, she'd have to try.]

Hello there! [She said, walking towards him and smiling gently.]

Ahhh! Hi! I recognize you! Minatsuki, right? [Grin grin. Interesting development. He figured she wouldn't have found a partner in such a short time, but here she is walking up to him.] I guess you've had the same luck as me with finding a partner.
