[This was a good chance to find a weapon, right? Shalnark couldn't miss this opportunity especially since he figured finding a partner would be a difficult task. He would somehow have fo find a way to attract a partner that could match the wavelength of a mass criminal with a nice personality, and that didn't sound like it would be easy. However, he admitted that he didn't know much about the topic of souls. He only knew of the things mentioned on the network, in the classrooms, and using the existing partnerships as samples.

He pushed his glasses up along the bridge of his nose, and peered at the people around him wondering if he recognized any of the faces. There were quite a few mostly from the network. This many people without partners, huh..?

Ah, well! At least if anything, he was getting free refreshments and free anything is nice!]

[Minatsuki had told several people she was coming, so it's not like she could back out now, could she? Even if the last thing she wanted was to be here, nice girls don't go back on their words, not if they could help it. And going on the mission itself didn't seem too bad; she might even get to see some bloodshed.

But, partnership. That was the problem. She didn't want to partner up with any of these idiots. And there was the risk, even if it was small, that she'd manage a resonation here. So what was she supposed to do? There's always the possibility that someone would get suspicious because she didn't try anything. Well, if nothing else, she could try it with a stranger - it was even less likely to work that way, right? And this person sure didn't look familiar... Even if there was a chance he was one of the texters she'd talked too, she'd have to try.]

Hello there! [She said, walking towards him and smiling gently.]

Ahhh! Hi! I recognize you! Minatsuki, right? [Grin grin. Interesting development. He figured she wouldn't have found a partner in such a short time, but here she is walking up to him.] I guess you've had the same luck as me with finding a partner.

It's hard to talk to someone face to face. No one takes me seriously because I have a cute appearance so I resort to texting. Plus, I wonder about the people out there, you know?

[Scritches the back of his neck] Though I'm not entirely sure what we're suppose to do. From the sounds of it, you just have to turn into your weapon form, and I just have to pick you up. If we don't resonate, I'll end up burning my hands...

[Silence, then, poof! Where a girl was a second ago, there's now this.]

[Ohh, what a strange weapon. He was expecting something like a wand, haha. However, he bent over and picked it up, quite casually. ] Whoaaa, you're really light. Must be because you're so small. [Nothing was hurting, nothing was burning...in fact, holding the weapon felt completely natural. A grin slowly crept across his face.]

Well...are you feeling alright?

[She braced herself, waiting for the shock, and... Oh, no. No, no, no, this could not be happening. Fucking damn it.]

It feels... Very nice. [Her face, showing in the metal, smiles.]

[A lot of questions were racing through his mind like, "I'm a match to this adorable girl?" and "If so, for what reason?" He was just as surprised though his reaction was more of interest than of anger wat happiness.]

Ah, I guess...that means we're successful? I'm really surprised that it was so easy, and on the first try, too.

I think that's what it means... The other two times I tried to resonate with someone, it definitely felt worse than this.

So, er... Does this make us partners, then?
