[One might guess the video feed was turned on by mistake by some absented-minded new arrival. All there is to be seen is a bedspread, a pile of books and magazines, and feet in mismatched socks (one has blue and green stripes; the other is purple and sparkling). The owner of the feet hasn't made a mistake, though, and eventually she speaks, ( Read more... )

The sun? Oh, I wouldn't mind.

But it gets all sticky, and gross!

Has it drooled on you, too?

Are you saying that you're a witch?

I suppose I might not be, now that I can't use magic. I was one this morning, though. Things do change quickly, don't they?

Mm. That's a good way of thinking of it, at least. There isn't any point in worrying about things you can't change, and with that reasoning no one here can reasonably be worried about a witch in the city.

I don't like to get tangled up in negative thoughts, they can be very dangerous.

But not everyone agrees with that, and a lot of people aren't reasonable, so the others might still be worried about me being here.

It can be lovely, but it also watches a lot of people. Hello, though! I think we all would have liked an invitation!

Everyone watches people, even if they don't all admit it. The sun looks like he might even be watching for people to take here, somehow.

They observe, but I do not think they often stare the way the sun does. And the moon. It is very good to have curtains in the place you move into.

The sun and moon have a much better view, that's why I wish they could talk about it.

I wouldn't want to sleep in a room without curtains. They help with nargles.

[so she's a witch... but not a bad one. o ok. rather than be a jerk and rudely point out the obvious, Asch instead says:]

Lovely? No. The sun is hideous. Or, rather, that sun is.

I think he looks quite friendly. In the United Kingdom, you can never tell what the sun is thinking.

I would much rather not know what the sun is thinking... Or look "friendly" by your definition.

It's safer to know. If he's angry, we'll be able to run away before he crushes us.

The moon has a funny face too. Meowha! You gotta be careful because it can watch everything you do.

That sounds lovely, like a guardian. I imagine Death City's criminals get very uncomfortable very quickly.

Hmm. I don't think the moon cares. It gets excited whenever there is a battle, nya~.
