[One might guess the video feed was turned on by mistake by some absented-minded new arrival. All there is to be seen is a bedspread, a pile of books and magazines, and feet in mismatched socks (one has blue and green stripes; the other is purple and sparkling). The owner of the feet hasn't made a mistake, though, and eventually she speaks, ( Read more... )

It can be lovely, but it also watches a lot of people. Hello, though! I think we all would have liked an invitation!

Everyone watches people, even if they don't all admit it. The sun looks like he might even be watching for people to take here, somehow.

They observe, but I do not think they often stare the way the sun does. And the moon. It is very good to have curtains in the place you move into.

The sun and moon have a much better view, that's why I wish they could talk about it.

I wouldn't want to sleep in a room without curtains. They help with nargles.

They look intelligent, most of the time, when they are not drooling too much. I wonder if they could talk or try.

They're mischievous thieves that are generally invisible to the human eye. [very seriously] You should be careful.

I see! How do you catch them if they are invisible? And are they in this world, or only yours?

All you can really do is keep an eye out for disappearing possessions and stay away from places they like to gather. Daddy's been trying to develop a spray, but it's not ready yet.

I'm not sure if they're here, though, I wonder if there's any research.

It must be hard to create a spray for something you cannot see!

I do not know if there is research. It could be worth it to look and find out, if you are interested in them.

There are plenty of books, [she gestures to the pile beside her, although they're not about nargles] so I'm expecting something to turn up sooner or later. It's just hiding for now.
