[He's in the kitchen right now, ingrediants off to the side as he leans down to look in the communicator with a smile.]
I know it sounds a little redundant, but Halloween is coming up. I don't really remember ever doing anything for this holiday. It always seemed more of a Western holiday then anything else, actually.
[Pauses.] But the idea of free candy is pretty appealing. I can see how it transferred over to other places, especially the idea of costumes. Pretty unsurprising that a place called "Death City" would have a bunch of costumes for a holiday just like this.
Actually...the original idea for this holiday was to communicate with spirits, right? Does anyone else here celebrate Halloween in a different way? [Smiles slightly.] It's not all costumes and candy for people; anyone out there have a different take on this holiday? I'd love to hear it if you do.
[Private to Roy Mustang]
How are you holding up? Things got pretty busy for a little bit there, I hope everyone is okay. I hope both you and uncle are okay, too. I had a few questions for you, if have the time to answer them.
One, I'm wondering if the jail here has visiting hours? Or is it possible to just come in at any time. Preferably without too many people knowing, if that's okay with you. Second, do you have enough food at home? I imagine that with another person there now, you guys will need more, so I'll be over sometime later with a few dishes. [yeah, a question that already has an answer.] Third, the last one I promise, but how much did Minato Arisato tell you about S.E.E.S, if any?
[Filtered to Nanako Dojima and Yosuke Hanamura]
Hey, little sis, want to go trick-or-treating with me and Yosuke? We both need to get costumes still, but I know Yosuke is excited for Halloween. [Grins.] Sounds like we should humor him, right? I promise, all candy will go to you. You might need to fight Yosuke for his, though. [Laughs.]

So out of you five, the best I can tell you all is that Minato decided I should organize the S.E.E.S group here. Now, from what I know about it, it's much different then what we did in Inaba with the Investigation Team, and really, there's no need for that here in Death City. What they do need, though is someone to help protect the people here when the heavy hitters are out on missions. I think this makes a lot of sense, also considering there are a lot of people here who don't want to fight in this war, but they don't want to see innocent people get hurt.
What I'm proposing is this; beyond being here to help when times get tough, anyone who is willing, we can help. As much as the training in the mornings is a big help, it's also very serious, and sometimes a little levity helps a situation better then anything else. I think we can do a lot with S.E.E.S beyond protecting people in the city. We can help people protect themselves, and we can help them learn how to use their powers in the best way we know how.
Let's have fun with this, but keep the main goal of keeping people safe the same. I don't want this group to be a choice between being in it, and being in the Watch, or anything like that. We'll accept everyone; clinic workers, Watch members on their time off, people from the Detective Agency. You want to be a member, you're in. I won't let us splinter off from the other groups in a drastic way, and if the Watch needs us for something, we'll find a way to work with them while still keeping our main objective the same.
Any suggestions? Ideas? It's a team, guys, and I want to hear everything, no matter how stupid you might think it sounds. [Smiles.]
[Private to Karkat]
I was told by a few that you're the one I should go to to ask about something called "Troll Justice". As you probably already know, people here have no idea of the differences between groups, and I'd like to change that as best I can. Is there anything you can tell me to help me learn more?
[Private to Sheryl Nome]
I think I owe you dinner. [Smiles.] Any preferences?
[Private to Kurt Hummel]
[He doesn't know how to start this one off, and he hesitates for a moment before speaking.] Hey, Kurt? I was wondering if you had any time to talk. Over the communicator is fine.
Other then the holiday here, November is also coming up. I wonder if it'll get any colder here for the changing seasons. December especially. [Frowns slightly, looking away from the camera for a moment before turning it off.]
