[TL;DR ahoy. She was going to put this up using video, the better to cow all of you into submission with her stern glare, but then realized that she might get a bit long-winded.]

It has come to my attention that a number of you have been taking the theoretical aspects of partnerships for granted - or fail to truly grasp the meaning of being half ( Read more... )

He appears to be human. But he used red text, so I believe that he's from your world.

OH, FOR FUCK'S SAKE. HE'S NOT FROM ANY WORLD I HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH EXCEPT FOR THE PART WHERE I FUCKING BUILT IT, NOT THAT HE SHOWS ANY GRATITUDE. CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE THAT PRICK?

ANYWAY, SCREW HIM. LET JADE OR JOHN TALK TO HIM ABOUT THAT, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME.

I wouldn't go so far as to call him a "prick", but he was grossly mistaken in some beliefs. A certain level of confidence in a fighter is fine, but it becomes arrogance if not tempered with humility. And he needs to learn how to walk before claiming that he knows how to run, as they say.

You do not count the human children to be part of your group, then?

I am surprised that there have been so few casualties. Some seem to entertain notions of invincibility.

[He's looking at you, Blue.]

It is small wonder so many choose to believe that they know better than Shibusen.

[Is that disdain? From Justin Law?]

[Blue as in the idiot samurai who keeps showing up battered to a pulp? Oh, she has her own problems with him.]

It might well be that all the guests are sturdier or more resilient than native technicians at the same level, despite their lack of training. It would explain why we've been relatively fortunate with the casualty list.

Even if we understand in theory will we be able to put it into practice? To begin with even the idea of resonating in general isn't exactly something that seems natural or logical to a foreigner like me.

There isn't really anything that can compare where I come from.

Theory and practice are supposed to go hand-in-hand. The theory helps to refine soul wavelength control, while practice strengthens your soul and turns theory into something that should be second-nature to a technician.

Do you think it's attainable considering that most of us were never meant to be fighting in this manner? I assume most of the fighters here have been able to train from much earlier. Considering the circumstances how long do you think it would take the guests to understand these things?

The partnership system is actually quite instinctive. Once you manage to resonate with a compatible partner successfully, you won't forget that feeling anytime soon. It's what happens after that you need training for.

As for the length of time, there are pairs who have been here for three to four months who have already gathered a fifth of their required souls.

It is best if both meister and weapon work on equal terms. It can still work otherwise, but it will be ineffective, and not particularly strong.

I have been involved in numerous engagements and operations carried out against witches and their strongholds, yes.

Complacent people are the ones who end up dead.

No, unfortunately, since we are tasked to protect everyone, even the ones who end up getting themselves into trouble through their complacence.

Then the complacent ones should consider themselves lucky.

To an extent. They will eventually learn that they can't just remain at the sidelines, however.
