[Owner of said room just so happened to be out grabbing a pack of smokes, some energy drinks and a new game from the mall. And what does he come back to? Someone in his room.

Several facts keep him calm about this. He doesn't have a gun on him, the kid looks like one of those trolls he's seen Jade and the others talking to sometimes, and he really doesn't seem to be doing much harm.

So Matt just raises a brow as he sets his bag down on the kitchen counter.]

You know, normally you're not supposed to enter someone's apartment without permission.

[A shrug before taking a drink of his almost forgotten energy drink.]

Around this time of day? Usually sleep. Sometimes games or stuff on my computer if I feel like it. You got lucky really, I'm normally not out of the house until I have to go to work at night.

Why ith it tho dark?

[ To his knowledge, humans liked the light. God damned backwards species. Part of it was curiosity; the other half was the simple desire to dispel that awkward little air around his shoulders.

Why the hell did he let himself into someone else's block in the first place? ]

Because I'm not a fan of light in general.

And that sun in particular creeps me out just a bit.

[ Turning his attention back to those laptops, the irresistible pull. ]

Just some files I was playing with. One's a simple code for Jade so none of her posts can be hacked and the others are a few weak viruses I made when I was bored. Nothing really too destructive, just to mess with someone a bit. Don't really have need for much else.

Virutheth. Do you run on tildeATH? Capathity? Duration? What are human virutheth capable of?

[And he was right about that too. Calming this kid down could be a bit easier than he thought.]

[ It's a method is distraction, a way to pass the time without thinking too heavily on some matters, without considering others. A way to help him forget the unsettling silence in his head.

He doesn't really mind. It's something to do that doesn't involve bickering or fending off the waves of nosy city-dwellers. ]
