[There's some muttering that can probably be heard in Mandarin Chinese. People who understand that language might hear something about the whole debacle with the theives, and that there should be a damn better way to go through drills than by committing thievery even if they had the intent to restore their personal effects

You don't mean it...do you?

I-if I had, I would have thought them to be legitimate thieves, not people from The Watch, so they were lucky in that way, Jiejie.

W-what do you mean, Jiejie?

Regardless of its provenance, it is a tasty treat!

Oh, it's made with ladyfingers, mascarpone, coffee, and cocoa, among other ingredients.
[Yes, he's leaving out the liquor. And yes, he calls them ladyfingers and not Savoiardi, because that's how the packaging named them, but maybe the Italian name for them was somewhere in there. Probably in a smaller font.]

So here, have Prince's rather convincing attempt at a smile, since he knows that Kurt has probably only heard the English portion of the entry.]
Oh, Kurt, hello!
Like I said the last time, it isn't necessary. I was treating you as my guest, and I am only glad that I was able to be of any sort of help, even if it was only by humbly serving you tea.
However, I would like it if you could come by and try one of my pastries as you promised you would~

[Okay, he can't argue with that! He gives Kurt a soft, amused laugh]
Also, if you're planning to do as you've just said, then I guess I could live with that, seeing as I simply cannot go against the decision a very generous customer chooses to make~
When will you be coming by?

...You are charging for the pastries?
[And after a pause, she continues in Xingese, which is close enough to Chinese to be understandable.] Your plan and your safety would hinge on the skills of the thief.

[Huh. Why does it sound slightly different? Going back to his native tongue~]
Maybe that is so, but I do think that my skills are quite high if I've managed to stop assassins from killing me. A thief cannot be on the same rank as that which I have mentioned, don't you think?
[He now knows that those thieves were from The Watch, but he doesn't really know them personally, aside from knowing that Roy Mustang was their leader. He still thinks it was stupid stunt that they pulled, no matter how "necessary" Mr. Mustang might have deemed it.]

[Well that sounds familiar...] I see... With a normal thief that would be likely. Mustang was not using those with skills that low however.

[He pauses, thinking about what she's said.]
Why use them for such an exercise then, if they have skills that are above and beyond a common thief's? It is not an honorable way to go about any sort of training, if you ask my opinion.

Yes, I do! I'm the baker there.
So, how have you been, Enma? It's been a while.

[rubs the back of his hand against the bruise on his jawline -- a battle wound from the recent party]
Guess I'm okay.
You?

I think I'm doing quite fine. I've just been training when I can, trying out different recipes to broaden my repertoire of western pastries, and just working hard here.
[Well, why just leave it at that? Feng Lan really is thinking about just asking, because that bruise...]
Are you really alright? That bruise looks serious.
[Subtlety, thy name is clearly NOT Prince. Nor Feng Lan]
