I do not know why you have not. Maybe it was made in another world not your own. Or maybe in a different time than your own. There are different distinct possibilities for the reason why.

I do not know where you are from, sir, but I do know that this particular pastry is of Italian origin.

Oh, it's made with ladyfingers, mascarpone, coffee, and cocoa, among other ingredients.

[Yes, he's leaving out the liquor. And yes, he calls them ladyfingers and not Savoiardi, because that's how the packaging named them, but maybe the Italian name for them was somewhere in there. Probably in a smaller font.]

Really? I'm sorry, but I don't know the specific history of the pastry.

Oh, no, no sir! Ladyfingers are a type of biscuit... cookie? It's long, thin, and the ends are rounded off, and that's why they are called that, I think.
