[There's some muttering that can probably be heard in Mandarin Chinese. People who understand that language might hear something about the whole debacle with the theives, and that there should be a damn better way to go through drills than by committing thievery even if they had the intent to restore their personal effects.
That it was outrageous, stupid, and how they better be glad that he didn't just catch one of them in the act, and by instinct just immediately driving one of his long kitchen knives in the soft flesh just behind the chin, and driving it up to the thief's brain, and giving it a twist to ensure that he'd be dead... again, if he had ever caught them. And he could too, judging by how he currently had a very, very sharp knife in his possession in his hands right now, cutting strips of dough for a fresh batch of pastries over at work. He also made a small verbal note to himself to buy one such knife, and keep it under his pillow, if Dàgē were not available.
A pause, and then a sigh, followed immediately by a small gasp.]
S-sorry. I was just thinking out loud in my native tongue.
Ah, if anyone is interested, I've finished preparing some very tasty Tiramisu and exquisite Lao Po Bing... forgive me, I think that it is translated into English as "Wife cake"?
There are only a limited amount of both pastries, and as always, they are made from scratch with the freshest ingredients possible, so please come and enjoy them over in Death By Pastry, where these pastries are always to die for~
