[The day after the most recent invasion by the sand constructs, Witches and 'associates', sometime in the early afternoon a recording reaches the network from Justin Law. He appears to be standing amongst the rubble that was previously the large open terrace in front of the entrance to the Shibusen Academy.

Why does he hate Shibusen so much? [It didn't make much sense to her - everyone she'd met had been perfectly nice.]

Neither. I can only provide conjecture as to how he has accomplished it, but I believe it has something to do with his Enchantment abilities..

He was active enough in the war between Shibusen and Arachnophobia several months ago, when BREW was first unearthed. The Witch he served under was killed by Maka Albarn and Soul Eater Evans, but Giriko was one of the two surviving leaders that escaped at the end of the conflict.

If he has been inactive recently, it is probably because it has taken him time to join with the other Witches.

Several reasons. He has had centuries to bear a grudge over certain... philosophical differences. He was one of the leaders of a faction at war with Shibusen several months ago that we managed to defeat, and I believe he may have taken the death of its leader rather poorly..

It's a pretty long and sort of irrational story, but I am fairly sure that he is angry that we - Shibusen - killed the Witch that he had waited eight hundred years for. She had been in hibernation, but was awoken by Kishin Asura's Madness Wavelength. She decided to engage in a private war with Shibusen.

It did not end well for her.

Huh, that seems like an odd reason to hate them! But then again, I would be pretty pissed too knowing they got something that I wanted to do for that long.

Giriko was an ally with this Witch, Arachne. I believe that is the reason he went into hiding for so long - to wait for her return. He was quite attached to her.

His partial form is his chainsaw's chain. He can make it spin along the underside of his feet and move around like they were self-propelled rollerblades.
