Sometimes, emphasizing on the normalcy of something absurd better emphasizes how wrong it is.

Of course, this world is different from ours. Perhaps the weight of souls and the implications of devouring them are entirely different.

Huh. I don't think they're visible at all in my world. I mean, there's some charlatans and new age quacks who talk about pulsing auras and whatever.

But I could reach out and touch these things. I'd always though of a soul as something kind of...I dunno, immaterial.
