They had California nectarines for a buck a pound when we went shopping last week. They weren't quite ripe, but I got five and put them out on the porch to see if they'd soften up a bit. But in really important news today, Japanese scientists have made a noodle bowl out of nanotubes of carbon.

I was actually surprised to find that it wasn't done by the engineers at Kirin Brewery, home of the glow in the dark frog. At least, I think that was Kirin.

So, you take one gummi worm (ours was green and yellow), and soak it in about two ounces Sailor Jerry Naval Rum in a jar with a tight fitting lid for about eight hours. I have made a startling discovery. Dark chocolate covered cinnamon Altoids are addictive. I wonder if I dipped my own if they would be as good or better. It would certainly be more cost-effective.

Also, cinnamon Sun Chips are addictive.

I think you should send them all to me so that I can keep the rest of you from becoming addicted.

We bought some little tiny apples for tomorrow's feasting. And I mean, little tiny. I think they were called "Dragon's Pearls," although I'm not certain.
