[As usual, Alfred is hanging out by the refreshment table but his dress robes have still fit for the past two dances, so fuck the haters. He's well aware that the punch is full of booze, and he doesn't want to get too drunk in front of all the teachers (or Lili), but getting a little buzzed isn't going to hurt anyone.

He's not even that bothered that he came alone, for once, but that doesn't mean he'd say no to some company.]

[have some company, Alfred. Lauren has been here for a bit and still doesn't want to be here.]

[He waves.]

Hey. What's up?

[Lauren notices the wave and comes a bit closer so she can hear him alright without having to shout or anything]

Not much. [she shrugs a shoulder] Discovering the only interesting thing about a school dance is the punch. [speaking of, she's going to take a sip.]

Haha, yeah. [He takes a glance into his own cup and then gulps some down.] But it's not so bad. The music's nice. And the snacks are good.

Right. In other words, the definition of boring.

It's better than going to class.

[She considers that for a moment, before concerning that] Point. But not better than half the things I could be getting done right now. [taking another drink of punch]

Well yeah, but still. [He takes another drink.] Cookie?

[shrug] Sure.

At least break starts tomorrow. It's gonna be awesome sleeping in.

Yeah, well-- I think I might have to get up early a couple days, to go down to London, y'know, but it's cool. I haven't actually been back since last summer, and I didn't even really leave the hospital. So like, a year. It's kinda weird. Not that I really wanted to go back or anything, but the city's nice. I mean, at least everyone speaks English there.

There is that. [amused now] Kind of convenient when everyone speaks the same language.

Tell me about it. Everyone should just speak the same language all the time, it'd be way easier.
