Bi-Polar Depression...

 So yesterday it snowed around 10 o'clock in the morning, and we actually got out of school an hour early. I had my psychiatrist appointment at 4, and I was worried that they would cancel it - AGAIN. Okay,I know you don't know me, but I read your page. So I feel it safe to say that I agree with the other poster; they didn't have
have medication or even the trained doctors to treat and understand this illness in Hemingway's time. I know a couple of people with this disorder(my grandmother being one of them). I also have two close friends and one member on this site who are bipolar. Sometimes I think my daughter is, but we're working on that because she's not even in preschool yet. Anyway, don't be scared. Do what you said--research it and talk to others. You'd be surprised at the number of people who are riding in the same boat you are. Real friends, true friends, will get used to the mood swings and understand that they aren't personal, intentional attacks. Heck, my grandmom....well, we won't mention what she did but I knew she didn't mean it. Take care, and keep your head up. I think you'd be a great English major; you are a great writer and cool to read:-)
