They went with the dawn...

[She takes a breath, and sighs minutely.]I wonder then, are they sensitive to light? And if so, if we could build and maintain some sort of magic... or must it be the sun? I suppose there is but one way to find out, isn't there? If the night does not swallow it up regardless, I will see what can be done about that. If ( Read more... )

I've Full Cure with me, though it seems to be quite draining to use in this place.

Full Cure - would that be a - [The word is evidently foreign to her, but no longer totally alien.] - materia, my lady? I recall all of those were found more tiring than they usually would be. But if you are willing to use it in times of need regardless, that would be wonderful. Perhaps it would be less taxing if used to bolster the efforts of another...

Cissnei. [One doesn't spare titles for guard dogs.]

Materia is correct, and I would be willing to use it, if not in effort to find a way home. [Cissnei's tone is neutral, giving away nothing. She's been taught by the best of her kind.]

Cissnei, then. I am Zelda.

Materia would be a great help. I am not adept at using it myself, though it has been used to help my work before.

Are you alright, my lady? I would lend my assistance, if I could.

I am, thank you my lord, black as that night was. And how are you faring?

We are well enough here, it seems, though if anyone else is in danger...

I am well, I suppose. Though, concerned. This was too fleeting an attack to do without repetition.

I admit, I harboured the same concern myself. And the days are short enough now as it is.

John's, um, John's teaching me magic. If I can help at all...

What sort of magic are you being taught in, my lady? I do not doubt it will be helpful regardless of the field, we have need of... all, it seems. .

I don't... I know how to summon lightning, and how to be in two places at once. Um, and some other stuff. But, I haven't exactly specialized in anything.

You needn't specialize to be of aid. But if you wish, and I do not mean to be presumptuous, so do forgive me if I seem so, I may be able to teach you something of healing, even if it will not work quite the same.

There are those of us with the tools to conduct healing, if you've need of it.

I would be grateful for any help you would give, my lord. Though, by tools, do you mean something of a technological nature or something else?

Materia. Magic born of the life-force of my planet.

Materia.

[As he speaks, she almost recognises the voice, as if she's heard someone... doing an impression of it? Something akin to it, but not quite it.]

I have seen and used it before, my lord, and hold some in my possession, yet if you can spare the aid, that would be wonderful. It is not as effective in my hands as it has been in others.

I suspect it requires a deeper sort of artificial light than the kind given from electricity. Nor will illusionary light deter them. Perhaps purer magical means, or perhaps the light of hearts will deter them.

I would suggest speaking to the keybearers, as they are guardians of such matters.

The young ones are warriors largely by destined instincts and circumstance, but I believe Terra may have had the official training, that which has waged legendary wars between light and dark.

And I would caution you all against the priest of Sehkmet's methods, as Roxas seems most virulently opposed.

My own magic is pure, though I do not know if I alone will be enough. I know little of what power the Keybearers hold, I confess, but I am sure it will not harm to speak with them, regardless.

[For now, she doesn't mention Terra. Best not, she's sure.]

As for that priest, I will have no dealings with such a being.

As for verifying Wesker's hints at self-allegation, do you believe any of the attacks were his doing?

None of that was his work.
