[It's later in the evening when the Fon Master makes a reappearance in the village just outside the barracks. Somewhat dazed, Ion takes only a few steps before tripping and falling to his knees in the snow.]
[He brings a hand to his throat as he gasps, the numbing effects of the drugs quickly wearing away and bringing to attention a stinging pain

AT ALL.
Looks like talking to that douchehead spirit was put on hold for a minute while he bumbles through the snow toward the figure.]
Hey! You okay?
Hey...

[He tries to speak, but not a word comes out. The drops of blood falling from his neck into the snow are probably a good indicator as to why.]

PANIC
Okay, no, he can handle this. It isn't the first time he's dealt with injuries, in his own experiences around Gunsmoke's shitty streets (if you can call them that). He dips down, brow furrowed.]
Lemme see it.

[With a wince, he pulls his hand away from his throat, his eyes widening when he sees his own palm covered in blood.]

Donning her thickest robe, cloak, and boots, she wades through the freshly fallen snow, half twirling about in it before spotting something else a few feet away.]
H-Hey! Ah, hey, are you okay?! [Yes, it was a person. She rushes over, already pulling off her cloak to give up.]

[Although he hears Miyabi's voice, he doesn't turn his head right away. He's tried that once already and was paying for it, a few drops of blood now staining the snow at his knees.]

H-Hey, can you walk? I'll help you get somewhere safe, okay? [Honestly, it's times like these where she really wishes she knew some things about healing. Herbs could only do so much.]

She's taken it to less of an extreme, simply taking walks around the village from time to time. Often she'll stop to visit with a friend, or make it part of some other errand she has to do. And leisurely walks in the snow for the sake of it are definitely not out of the question.
...So finding a bloody Fon Master is both a relief and a shock.]
Ion?

[He grits his teeth and seems to be trying to speak, but not a word comes out. If Nephry wasn't too distracted by the blood, she'd see he was trying to say her name.]

[he looks like...well, actually, she doesn't want to think about what he looks like. She'll be with him there in the snow presently, not sure what to do with him but knowing he might already be in danger from the cold]

Luke had been out jogging since he had neglected to do it earlier, and he's not quite paying attention to his surroundings. Don't worry, he's not going to trample Ion or anything. He just won't really notice that he's there until he sees a red color out of the corner of his eye that shouldn't be there.]
...Ion?
[He immediately rushes over and kneels down beside him, one hand against Ion's back.]
Ion, what happened?
Reply
[He tries to speak, trying to say anything, but not a word comes out. If Luke pays close attention, he might see Ion mouth the words "Luke" and "hurt". The rest is lost in a jumble, seeing as he can't stop himself from shivering.]

Don't try to talk, just show me where you're hurt.
[As he speaks, Luke takes off his jacket and wraps it around Ion's shoulders. It's not as warm as the coat he left behind, but it should be warmer than the robe alone.]

[Unfortunately, at the same time he catches a glance at his own blood-stained hand and his eyes shoot wide open. If he wasn't already more pale than usual before, whatever color had been left in his face was gone now.]

[But no, the Malnosso don't do things that way, do they? A strangled little gasp escapes her lips when she spots her friend in the snow. A beat later, she is by his side, trying not to let her panic make her motions jerky and unhelpful. She puts a hand to his shoulder gently.]
Ion? Ion, it's Anise. A-are you okay?
Reply
[The still-bleeding cuts along his neck along with the growing blood stain on the top-front of his robes probably explain why.]
Reply
[Anise has never seen this much blood on her friend, before. For a while, she forgets to breathe.]
[But his lips moving silently snaps her out of it - it's all it takes to make her all-business, even if her voice and hands tremble slightly.]
D-don't move Ion, okay? Just - just rest up and I'll take care of you!
[And just like that, she sets to work, taking bandages and disinfectants from the handy first aid pack she brought with her. She's never been so thankful that field dressings were part of Oracle Knight 101.]

[All at once, what little color had been left after the cold and blood-loss seemed to drain from his face. This was why he couldn't speak! He wanted to look down and see just how bad it was, but he knew better than to try bending his neck now. And really, maybe it was better he didn't see. He needed to stay conscious.]
