A certain someones journal has just become an impromptu weapon against a nearby Tease. [When Ion comes into her room, he'll find Nephry already dealing with a small swarm of the things, having slammed her own window shut just moments before]

[These little creatures were certainly persistent! Without a word, Ion moved in to help, swiping at a few of them with his staff and knocking them to the ground, where they were easily crushed. Thankfully, they really weren't difficult to kill.]

Are you alright, Nephry?

[she smacked a few with books and got in a nice stab of one with her fountain pen, but has bleeding bite marks on her hands and arms for her trouble]

It's nothing serious. What about you? [spots his face] We should clean that.

[Cue Ion noticing the wound on his cheek where he'd been bitten. But one bite couldn't compare to the numerous ones Nephry received.]

That's a good idea. There should be some bandages in the kitchen... [He glances down at the Teases.] Hopefully there aren't any more of those floating around here.

It isn't the Malnosso.

Then... that would mean another resident is causing all of this?

It's a little complicated. But I've an idea where they're coming from.

Is your building safe?

I haven't seen any more since closing all the windows, so it seems that way.

[Well, Dist was remodeling a pair of glasses in his room to fit him properly, until he was so rudely interrupted. Thankfully, his window was closed, and he stares angrily at Ion, jumping up from the shock of his door suddenly being opened.]

Wha--?! What's the meaning of this, how dare you barge in like this! Fon Master or not, I'll have you know I was in the middle of-- [But Ion will know know what Dist was in the middle of. He blinks and stares wide-eyed at Ion's face, and the blood, standing quickly. There's a definite urgency in his voice.] You're injured! What's happened? Where is Nephry?!

[Action] - Sleep well!

[With Dist's room being the last to check, Ion was just tuning out the older man's words as he glanced at the window: closed. He gave a sigh of relief before turning to Dist.]

Nephry's fine, she was in her room... did you check your journal today? [Or look outside, geeze Dist, you hermit.] There's an experiment or... something going on in the village right now. Don't open your window.

[Hey, he was working, shut up. You know how he gets when he works.] No, I've been busy repairing my glasses.

[Dist picks up his journal, however, and begins to leaf through it for the information he missed. His eyes widen at the sheer amount of pleas for help and such, frowning.] ...I see. So this foul haven has a bit of an insect problem. And you came across one. Do you have any other injuries, Fon Master?

[He makes an irate noise and motions for Ion to sit down, sighing. Just his luck. Barely a few weeks here and he has to put up with something like this. As if those crazed spikes weren't enough! Now he has to play doctor. Dist removes a small rag from his work bench and a bit of alcohol - he keeps his work space sterile, after all - and approaches Ion.]

Yes. I didn't see the warning until after I had opened my window, and a few flew in. Thankfully they aren't difficult to kill. [Though they do have a nasty bite. Sitting by Dist's side, Ion raises his own hand to check the wound, as if only now noticing it was there. With a small wince, he drops his hand back into his lap.]

Only one of them got to me, so it's nothing too serious. [Then, with an added smile.] Thank you, Dist.

Then it must be another resident who brought them here. That is, unless the Malnosso can take things from other worlds to use in experiments like this...

I've only been here long enough to see one experiment myself, so I have nothing to compare this to. If it is an experiment, that could mean a week of being stuck in one place like this...
