[Those paying attention to the journals may notice a rather sudden THWACK ringing out from one of the pages. The reason? A certain someones journal has just become an impromptu weapon against a nearby Tease. Unfortunately for Ion, he only noticed Allen's entry after deciding to read a book with the window wide open in his bedroom. Before getting

Wha--?! What's the meaning of this, how dare you barge in like this! Fon Master or not, I'll have you know I was in the middle of-- [But Ion will know know what Dist was in the middle of. He blinks and stares wide-eyed at Ion's face, and the blood, standing quickly. There's a definite urgency in his voice.] You're injured! What's happened? Where is Nephry?!

Nephry's fine, she was in her room... did you check your journal today? [Or look outside, geeze Dist, you hermit.] There's an experiment or... something going on in the village right now. Don't open your window.

[Dist picks up his journal, however, and begins to leaf through it for the information he missed. His eyes widen at the sheer amount of pleas for help and such, frowning.] ...I see. So this foul haven has a bit of an insect problem. And you came across one. Do you have any other injuries, Fon Master?
[He makes an irate noise and motions for Ion to sit down, sighing. Just his luck. Barely a few weeks here and he has to put up with something like this. As if those crazed spikes weren't enough! Now he has to play doctor. Dist removes a small rag from his work bench and a bit of alcohol - he keeps his work space sterile, after all - and approaches Ion.]

Only one of them got to me, so it's nothing too serious. [Then, with an added smile.] Thank you, Dist.

He makes a vague, dismissive noise to Ion's thanks and dabs the rag lightly with the alcohol before handing it to the boy.]
Regardless, you'd do well you clean up, Fon Master. Those creatures sound like nothing I've ever heard of, even with my brilliant knowledge of monsters. I don't want to think of the mess we'd have to clean up if one of you were to expire. [He finally glances out the window and sees a few floating by.] A carnivorous insect...just what are they, I wonder?

[Ion took the rag from Dist and wiped the blood from the side of his face. Upon reaching the wound on his forehead, he gave a very short whimpering sound before turning the rag over and simply holding it over the area so it wouldn't bleed anymore. He'd have to bandage that once he left...]
The man who gave the warning in the journal mentioned that he'd seen the same things in his world. I don't know if that means this was caused by another resident or not.

Dist glances over his shoulder when he hears Ion make that pitiful sound and looks away after a moment. He doesn't have bandages in his room, but he is someone who knows the human body very well. Ion would be fine, it wasn't a large wound.]
Hm...I see. That is a possibility. Or merely an accident. We cannot know, but that's unimportant. Until these creatures are exterminated, we are at their mercy. [Meaning they're trapped in their house. Did they have enough food?]
Reply
[He abruptly gets to his feet and glances back towards Dist, a less-than-sincere smile on his face.] I should let you get back to your work... and get a bandage for this.
And thanks again, for this. [He motioned to the rag, which he still had pressed against his head. He'd have to make sure to clean it off before bringing it back, of course!]

Dist nods and seats himself again. He waves off the thanks lazily.]
Try not to get injured again, and obviously...stay indoors. I don't think I should have to repeat that. [And instead of working on his glasses like he was before, Dist is just going to read through his journal and scribble down information on a separate piece of paper. He wants to know about these things.]

I apologize for interrupting.

No, it's perfectly all right. ...Are you unharmed, Nephry? Those insects didn't attack you, did they?

I've remained unharmed. My windows weren't open while I was here, so none came inside. ...How are the others? The Fon Master was here some time ago. What of Peony? And has the girl returned?
