I'm really enjoying staying in Virginia with my friend and her fiancee. We went to see Appomattox courthouse yesterday and it was really neat. Everything in the town had names from the civil war; confederate blvd and lee street. We even went into a civil war shop that had confederate flags in the windows. Once again I am between jobs.:( I just got back from a pretty awesome three weeks in Florida a couple of weeks ago. Apparently, this project happens every year and usually lasts three months but because of our wonderful economy funding got cut way back. I've been applying to every single place I can for the field season but haven't heard back ( Read more... ) -
New Job
Now that my I am finally allowed to use my arm again i can go back to work!!! I'm hoping I might actually have some extra money then to buy the new Terry Brooks book. So I'm home for a little while. No more gross truckers trying to hit on me!!! Yay!!! Unfortuanately, one of the first days I was back I had to go rollerblading and fall and hurt my arm. My new job really sucks. There's only about eight of us here but the company put us up in this really SHITTY hotel. And it is really gross. The carpet and walls are stained as are the bed sheets and cover and the furniture is really scuffed up. And if they ever cleaned it it was a long time ago. I really love my new job! The work is fun and it's awesome getting paid for walking around outside looking to see if fields have anything in them. But why oh why can't the rest of the crew members have outside hobbies besides drinking or at least talk about it less during the work day! Yay! I might actually have time to catch up on my homework now. I just spent the first week of school working 25 hours and trying to go to classes and do homework at the same time. :( But now instead of having 25 some weeks and 8 others I actually have about 13 every week. Whew! Now to spend the weekend catching up on the homework I haven't ( Read more... )
