A pocketful of fun
Four and twenty mallards
baked into a bun
When the bun was opened
the ducks began to quack
Serves fifty for a filling meal
One hundred for a snack

(as penned by the beloved and I yesterday afternoon over a nice cup of tea and a sit down. Ducks on the brain? Us? Never!)

As mentioned in a previous entry, I heard back about Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld Short Story Contest. I didn't win, but I did get some good feedback which may be summarised thusly: "technically well written, but the story was a bit pants". Which is fair enough, the story was horribly clichéd, but there you go.
