Thanks. Now you can stand beside me when the rotten tomatoes come flying in. :-)

For some reason they find it threatening to their masculinity that some women find that sexy.

I think that some men find it threatening that women have sex drives at all. I can't think of any other reason why it would bother them that women like the idea of two guys together. I mean, so what if they themselves think it's gross? We're talking about what women think.

The link to the article is at the top of my post (kind of hard to see, sorry), but here's the Keanu part of it:

THE MATRIX star tells men's magazine Playboy how difficult it was to perform a rape scene with HILARY SWANK in THE GIFT, but, when asked if his roughness may have helped the actress get into character for boxing film MILLION DOLLAR BABY, he quips, "Yeah. And, by the way, I also learned a bit of... well, that some of the ladies don't mind it... Hah, that's awful to say."

Yeah, that doesn't seem like it should be such an issue. I mean, some people do! Hmm... maybe it was the association of a rape scene rather than simple rough sex that made it problematic for people, but I mean, he's acting anyway, which is the same thing as roleplaying--it's not even as intense as S&M--I don't know. I guess I don't care, I get what he's saying, but I can see how people would feel that he's in a way equating rape with rough sex. I'm just sorting this out as I type it, so sorry if I make no sense.

Yeah, when I re-read it, I realized that it was in context of a rape scene. But still, he sounds almost apologetic about it.
