Is it bad that my first thought was "well, duh, of course THEY don't like it, but all he said was that there ARE women who do like rough sex, which is true, so you shouldn't criticize him for that"? He didn't say that ALL women like it, or that men should go around beating up women to find out which ones do.
I feel that lj has made me less able to pass judgement on other people's kinks. And now, to my mind, someone implying that absolutely no women like rough sex is like
that guy saying that women don't get turned on by gay sex. Perhaps you speak for one group, but you don't speak for all groups.
So I don't see why people are jumping on him for this. Are they right to do so? Am I the one who's not getting it?
