You might wanna try that cut again.

Also, 52 is nothing to sneeze at! That's... 2%. And you have lots of years left!

Where are you these days?

oooops, yeah that didn't work as well as I'd hoped! I realized it pretty quickly but then I had to help some guests... stupid guests, needing stuff when I'm trying to blog. Inconsiderate. Anyway I am in Costa Rica working at a hotel for about 2 more months, then traveling in Guatemala and Mexico for a month, then I'm going to stay with my parents until about Christmastime while I save money and try to decide where to move next. How's Portland?

you've got me beat, too. i am happy to say that all three of my favorite books are on there (lolita by nabokov, unbearable lightness of being by kundera and house of leaves by danielewski)! it seems to me they could group authors together, though. like the rabbit novels by updike are all spread out, and so are all the atwoods, etc.

I've read 193 of them (I think; counting is hard). But it is a really idiosyncratic list. There's no John Gardner on it, for one thing -- I can understand Freddy's Book being a bit marginal, but October Light? The Sunlight Dialogues? And why is David Foster Wallace missing? And what about The Chess Garden? Anything by Gunter Grass? William Styron? Jorge Amado?

I've recently started using this list as a guide for book recommendations...although, I tried reading "Sunday" and couldn't get into it.
