So scheduling of classes has started. Gotta get a few more classes on there (WHY IS EVERYTHING GOOD IN THE MORNING ON THURSDAY) and get officially enrolled and make sure there's nothing with awesome honors credit I'm missing, but otherwise I'm set for next semester. I'm going to finish my prereqs, start on my IS major, and do more research and

This reminds me of my dad's love of music but the complete absence of it from his education. I've never figured out what possessed him not to be a music major. He majored in software engineering like a sane person and now has a good job and a house and everything, but...I can't help but think he'd have been happier staying with music.

THE ACTUAL POINT: Do what you love, like a boss. There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing awesome geeky shit.

Oh man, no, there is never anything wrong with awesome geeky shit. You can't really do exclusively awesome geeky shit, though, and if you can then you're a very lucky person, but having a useful skill on top of knowing a lot of geeky shit isn't a bad idea.

Anyway, I'm banking on it helping me do awesome geeky shit once I graduate. I'll just stick it on my Awesome Geeky Skillset and be like Thor, who I would never have believed by the propensity of awesome geeky shit he does is an accounting and finance major and loves it.
