LOL! Go, go my little bird. Having to socialize with people whose jobs you care nothing about is good practice for having to socialize with people who care nothing about their jobs.

Actually, as it turned out, I had forgotten something about the companies that were at the "career fair" that was held before the dinner: Most transportation engineering companies have construction management divisions within their firms. So, even if I'm not interested in doing the traffic studies or the design part, they still might have a position available for my interests.

And, a lot of them are nation-wide companies... many offices all over the place...
