When JaeJoong woke up the vampires who had watched him a few minutes before were gone and YunHo sat with a worried expression next him on the bed. JaeJoong shivered and found it difficult to move without pain and was too weak. JaeJoong smiled weakly at YunHo and tried to hold YunHo’s hand, searching for comfort. He watched YunHo carefully and saw that there was something wrong with him, YunHo looked almost…Desperate… YunHo stood up and lifted JaeJoong wordlessly, he carried JaeJoong to the living room and kissed him shortly on his forehead. JaeJoong didn’t understand what was wrong with YunHo and why YunHo had taken him to the living room, but he didn’t ask anything. JaeJoong knew now better and had learned from his faults, he would no longer doubt about YunHo and would listen to him, whatever he did. YunHo laid JaeJoong on the couch and covered him with a warm thick blanket. “The girl who you have seen when I drank her blood is coming over in a few minutes, I need to drink from her” said YunHo calmly. He found it difficult to do but he had made his final decision, he would transform JaeJoong into a vampire, even if he was not willing and he needed to force him. He did not want to take the risk that JaeJoong could get even more sicker and that he might not get better. He knew that JaeJoong would be mad at him, but he would accept it eventually. He had no choice, not if JaeJoong wanted to survive this. He knew that when he had transformed JaeJoong that he needed all his strength, because when JaeJoong was a newborn vampire he could not drink all the blood he needed. He needed to stay with JaeJoong and support him all the time, the first few days would be very exhausting for them both. YunHo saw JaeJoong’s sad face when he heard why YunHo was in the living room but did not protest about it. He had given YunHo his permission and he would hold his word to YunHo, even if it was difficult for him to do so.
The girl knocked on the door and YunHo invited her into their house with a friendly smile on his face. YunHo bowed politely for the girl, even if she was not a Asian girl and tried to look relaxed and calm. The girl smiled back at YunHo and looked curiously at JaeJoong who was lying on the couch and looked very weak and tired. “Please, come in” said YunHo in a language JaeJoong didn’t understand, he suspected that it was English. YunHo introduced JaeJoong first to the girl in his own langue and spoke again in English to the girl, JaeJoong heard his own name so he concluded that YunHo had introduced him to the girl too. When JaeJoong looked at the girl and saw how pretty she was he felt jealous again, but he tried to hide it, knowing now that the girl here was to help YunHo and that that was the only reason. JaeJoong forced himself to smile at the girl but snuggled immediately closer against YunHo, searching for comfort. JaeJoong missed the smile on YunHo’s face when he felt JaeJoong’s emotions and saw his reaction to the girl, happy that JaeJoong wanted him only for himself, not wanting to share him with somebody else. After a last quick glance at JaeJoong he took the wrists of the girl and cut with his nail a small cut in her flesh. He drank as fast as he could without hurting the girl, but also wanting to get over it as fast as possible, for JaeJoong’s sake. When he was done, a few minutes later he helped the girl to clean the cut on her wrists and helped her out after thanking her again for her help. When YunHo had closed the door behind the girl he looked at JaeJoong and suddenly felt worried again. JaeJoong’s face was too pale, even for JaeJoong and he did his best to stay awake on the couch. YunHo walked back to JaeJoong and sad with a worried expression next to him, looking cautiously at his mate. When he looked down at JaeJoong he knew that he was doing the right thing, but it was hard for him to ignore JaeJoong’s wishes and doing things to him he didn’t wanted. But he also knew that it was for JaeJoong’s own safety and that was all what mattered now, but it bothered him still… He wanted to talk first with JaeJoong and tell him what he wanted to do and if he still didn’t wanted to transform into a vampire. He hoped that JaeJoong wanted to transform, he had given himself already to him, he had said that he loved him… But did JaeJoong love him enough to transform into a vampire for him? YunHo had already decided that he would transform him, even if JaeJoong still refused. If it was necessary he would use his powers to influence JaeJoong.
JaeJoong was unaware of YunHo’s tense posture, his dark thoughts and his uneasy feelings… JaeJoong closed his eyes and leaned against YunHo’s chest, still trying to stay awake. He was worried, even if he didn’t talked about it , he didn’t voice his worries because he trusted YunHo and knew that YunHo would do the right thing, he also was convinced that YunHo would do nothing against his will.
YunHo stroked a few hair locks out of JaeJoong’s face and used a little bit from his now recovered vampire powers to give JaeJoong a little bit more energy, just enough for JaeJoong to stay awake for the next fifteen minutes so that they could talk with each other while JaeJoong was fully awake and did understand what he said to him. JaeJoong looked confused up at YunHo when he suddenly felt the change in his body and he realized what YunHo had done. He opened his mouth to ask YunHo what he wanted to do now but kept quiet and looked up at YunHo, looking straight into his eyes. JaeJoong had suspected that YunHo would look calmer and relaxed now he had drank blood from the human girl, but YunHo wasn’t looking calm and relaxed… YunHo looked exactly the same as before when he was still thirsty for blood, he was still worried and because of that JaeJoong was even more worried now. “Yun, is there something wrong? Are you okay?” he asked with a worried expression on his exhausted face. He was feeling suddenly very uneasy, even afraid and wondered why YunHo was looking so worried at him, almost afraid. What was wrong with YunHo? YunHo looked around him, he tried to think of a way to start the conversation with JaeJoong but did not know how he would do it. He knew that would react badly to him, he would protest and argue with him, he was sure about that. JaeJoong had made his point, he didn’t wanted to be a vampire, not this fast anyway. YunHo stood up abruptly and started to walk small circles in the living room. He was aware of JaeJoong’s reaction, he observed all the things YunHo was doing, he listened to JaeJoong’s thoughts and heard all his confused thoughts. YunHo was finding it even harder to talk with JaeJoong now that he had heard all of JaeJoong’s worried thoughts.
YunHo stopped with his walk when he heard JaeJoong’s panicked thoughts and turned around to look at him. ”Oh no, he wants me to become a vampire, I’m sure of that!” Thought JaeJoong sadly. He could clearly hear the fear in JaeJoong’s mind and started to feel even worse than before. But YunHo realized too late that his reaction to JaeJoong’s thoughts explained enough for JaeJoong, JaeJoong knew now why YunHo was reacting so stressed because of his thoughts about turning into a vampire. JaeJoong stared open mouthed up at YunHo, wondering if he was dreaming. Maybe he had fallen asleep on the couch and this was all a bad dream, only a dream… “YunHo?” JaeJoong wanted YunHo to tell him that everything was going to be alight, he wanted to tell him not to worry… But YunHo said nothing to him, he didn’t shake his head, he didn’t smile at him, he only looked worried at him. JaeJoong was suddenly very scared now that YunHo didn’t reacted to him and wanted that YunHo said something to him, he wanted YunHo to break the tension in the room. YunHo took a deep breath and tried to gather all his courage to speak, knowing that he must talk with JaeJoong. YunHo swallowed and walked slowly to JaeJoong and sat next him on the couch. YunHo took JaeJoong’s hand in his and gave him a soft squeeze. He held JaeJoong’s hand not only because JaeJoong needed comfort, but also to prevent that JaeJoong wanted to flee away from him if he started to talk. He was afraid that if JaeJoong tried to walk away that he would become weaker, he was too weak to walk alone, he needed YunHo.
“JaeJoong, I want you to listen to me when I’m talking and try not to panic, okay?” YunHo knew that he asked a lot from JaeJoong and that he still would react badly to what he would tell him, but he wanted to try it, he needed to try it. He wanted and hoped that JaeJoong would give him his permission. YunHo looked questioningly at JaeJoong and waited patiently for JaeJoong to nod at him. When JaeJoong eventually nodded and made clear that he would listen to him YunHo felt a little more comfortable. “JaeJoong, please don’t be mad at me, but when you were asleep I had invited a few vampires, they have looked at you, only to help you.” YunHo stopped with talking when he saw JaeJoong’s reaction, JaeJoong’s whole body had stiffened and he stared with disbelieve in his eyes up at YunHo, he felt betrayed. The thought that YunHo had betrayed him was hurting him so much… Why had YunHo do that to him, knowing that he was afraid of all the other vampires? YunHo tightened his hold on JaeJoong’s hand and continued his story quickly, afraid that JaeJoong would interrupt him. “Jae, I had asked those vampires to come over and to look at you only because I was worried about you, you’re sick JaeJoong and you need help, the sun was too strong for you to handle. The vampires who watched you earlier have a lot more experiences with situations like this, they knew what to do.” YunHo stopped for a few seconds to look at JaeJoong, checking if he still listened to him and continued to talk. “You body is reacting too strongly to the sunlight you were in contact with, you will become only sicker and sicker from now on… The pain you’re feeling now will become stronger and your fever would be very dangerous. The only way to become better is to… You must transform into a vampire JaeJoong, I’m sorry… “ YunHo was praying silently and hoped that JaeJoong would react not all too stressed and scared. YunHo wondered if JaeJoong would be mad at him...
JaeJoong stared with a chocked expression up at YunHo and was really scared now that he had heard YunHo’s story. “No!” Yelled JaeJoong suddenly and tried to stand and walk away from YunHo. He didn’t want to hear more, he didn’t wanted to hear what YunHo had to tell him. The conversation was finished for him, he was not going to transform into a vampire! Not now and not even in a few weeks! There must be another option for him to get better, he was sure of that! YunHo was still holding JaeJoong’s hand and didn’t let go of him when JaeJoong tried to stand up, he pulled JaeJoong back to the couch and so YunHo prevented that JaeJoong would have fallen to the ground. “Please, let me go” begged JaeJoong with a trembling voice and looked panicked at YunHo, “Please, don’t do this to me” JaeJoong whispered desperate. “No” said YunHo firmly, “if I let you go now you will try to run away from me, which is not good for you now. You’re in a horribly bad condition.” YunHo sighed and closed his eyes. He had planned to force JaeJoong if he needed to but had decided otherwise. “No, he needed to convince JaeJoong, he wanted that JaeJoong would do everything willingly and without force. He knew that if he would force JaeJoong to do this he would regret it for the rest of his very long life. “I’m not going to force you JaeJoong, i only want that you will think about it so you will make the right decision.” YunHo pulled the now trembling JaeJoong in his arms and rocked him softly, mumbling soft words into his ear and waited till his vampire power, that had held JaeJoong awake, were elaborated. He watched with a sad smile how JaeJoong drifted to sleep.
A few minutes passed and YunHo saw how JaeJoong was becoming weaker and weaker. JaeJoong’s fever become higher and YunHo needed to use his powers again on JaeJoong’s body to press the fever. JaeJoong woke every few minutes, his heartbeat was too fast and he became weaker when he opened his eyes. YunHo suspected that JaeJoong’s bad condition would be worse if he still couldn’t eat his food without vomiting. When JaeJoong woke again after a few minutes he realized that YunHo was gone and started to panic, where was he? He was always by his side when he woke up! JaeJoong tried to stand up so that he could search for YunHo but his legs were too weak to carry his weight. He fell with a soft thud to the ground and his whole body began to shiver, exhausted from his attempt to stand and move. JaeJoong wondered worriedly why YunHo was not near him and why he had not hear him fall, normally he was hearing everything he did. JaeJoong crawled on all fours into the living room and pushed the door ajar. He saw YunHo, he was standing in the middle of the living room with his back turned against him, he was in a deep conversation with a women JaeJoong had never seen before. JaeJoong was afraid that the women was a vampire like YunHo and wanted to close the door before someone would see him. But just when he wanted to close the door he staggered from exhaustion and bumped with his arm against the doorframe. Both the woman and YunHo stopped with their conversation and turned to look at him. They both looked at JaeJoong and saw how he sat on the ground with his body against the wall, too tired to move more. “JaeJoong!” YunHo yelled and ran to him while the women stood still in the living room, she didn’t made a attempt to come closer to him. She stared at JaeJoong with an intense expression on her face. JaeJoong felt insecure now that the women was standing so close and was staring at him, he pressed his face against YunHo’s chest and closed his eyes, not thinking about his conversation with YunHo before he had fallen asleep a few hours ago. “Who is that?” JaeJoong whispered, wondering if the women was a blood donor and that that was the reason why YunHo had not woken him. YunHo hesitated but he wanted to tell him the truth, he had promised JaeJoong to tell him always the truth and to not lie to him, so he decided to tell him who the women was. “This is Eunah, a vampire who wanted to know how you’re feeling now.” JaeJoong’s eyes widened when he heard that he was in one room with a strange vampire and grabbed YunHo’s arm tightly.
JaeJoong tried to struggle back to his bedroom, away from Eunah but he noted that he was too weak to come far, his whole body was hurting and YunHo was not letting go of him, his arms were holding him against his body, preventing him from hurting himself. Everything was hurting, his hands, his arms… And his face was the worst, the sun had hit him there the strongest. Only the memory of the sun was making him scared and sad. “JaeJoong, do you want to come with me to the living room so that you can try and eat something?” YunHo asked hopefully and glanced quickly at Eunah, warning her to not scare JaeJoong. “No I…” JaeJoong did not want to come closer to the vampire in the living room, but he knew that YunHo was right, he needed to eat something. YunHo was kneeling next to JaeJoong and smiled friendly at him. “Eunah will not harm you, and if she will try it I promise you that I will protect you” YunHo spoke calm and friendly to JaeJoong, hoping that JaeJoong would listen to him and that he would believe him that he was safe. YunHo hoped that JaeJoong still trusted him, even now after their talk about transforming into a vampire. YunHo thought that it would be good for JaeJoong to leave the dark bedroom for a few minutes, if possible longer. YunHo had apparently a little help because just when JaeJoong wanted to protest again he saw his little kitten, Micky. Micky started to purr when he saw JaeJoong and pressed his small body against JaeJoong, begging for a little attention from his owner. YunHo used the opportunity and lifted Micky up in his arms. “Come with me to the living room so you can hold Micky, I’m sure that he has missed you while you were sick.” JaeJoong hesitated, he had missed Micky and wanted to hold his little kitten, but if he needed to sit in the same room with the vampire woman… “Okay” said JaeJoong eventually hesitatingly but didn’t let go of YunHo’s arm while he surrendered . “Stay with me” Said JaeJoong while he looked cautiously at Eunah and pressed himself closer against YunHo’s warm and safe body. “Of course” nodded YunHo while he tried to hide his triumphant smile because JaeJoong trusted him! He let go of Micky and lifted JaeJoong up in his arms and kissed him softly on his forehead. “Thank you” whispered YunHo in his ear. YunHo brought JaeJoong to the couch and held JaeJoong in his arms, on his lap while he called for Micky. Eunah moved soundlessly through the living room and sad down in the chair opposite JaeJoong and YunHo. Eunah had been silent since she had saw JaeJoong and started at him the whole time . YunHo knew that JaeJoong didn’t liked it that Eunah was staring at him and he glanced shortly at her. JaeJoong saw that Eunah immediately looked away from him when she saw YunHo.
JaeJoong did not like it to be this close to Eunah in the same room and watched her the whole time, ready to hide behind YunHo if she would be dangerous. JaeJoong lay with his head on the shoulder of YunHo. He had patted with a shaking hand the fur from Micky, enjoying the feeling from YunHo’s warm and strong arm around his waist. He heard how YunHo talked in a low voice with Eunah but was too tired to concentrate properly on the conversation between his mate and Eunah. JaeJoong heard his name and looked up slowly at YunHo, wondering what they were talking about. But after a few minutes he gave up to follow the conversation, YunHo and Eunah were talking too fast for him to understand. JaeJoong had thought that he could not rest in the presence of the vampire, he had thought that he would be too stressed, but apparently his tiredness was stronger than his discomfort. Before he realized it he slumbered to sleep and snuggled closer against YunHo, searching for comfort and protection. He closes his eyes, trying to fight the dizziness he felt and when YunHo had placed his hand on his arm he fell asleep.
The conversation between YunHo and Eunah stilled and the two vampires both stared worriedly at the restless sleeping JaeJoong. “YunHo, I know that this is not an ideal situation, but it is not good for both of you to stay any longer in this situation, maybe you need to…” YunHo glanced warningly at Eunah and then at JaeJoong. “What do you want me to do Eunah, forcing him to transform into a vampire without his permission? Do I really need to force him to transform in something he is afraid of? You have seen how he reacted to your presence, he is afraid of you and with you all the vampires in the world. The only reason why he has accepted to stay in the same room with you is because I’m with him and because I promised him to protect him! There must be another way to help JaeJoong! If I’m transforming JaeJoong now without his permission then I’m afraid I will lose him forever! You have no idea how hard I have tried to win his trust and love, he was not willing to leave his old life when I first met him, he was even afraid of me… I’m sure that if I’m forcing him to do this, he will try to leave me! I know that he could not part with me forever, we are bonded, but he will try it!” YunHo raised his voice while he spoke to Eunah and noted that JaeJoong responded unconsciously to his raised voice. Afraid to wake JaeJoong he lowered his voice and looked desperately at Eunah, “is there really no other option for me to help JaeJoong, a way to help him without forcing him to something he doesn’t want?” Eunah nodded but didn’t look happy. “There is a way, but it is dangerous and can be fatal for you if you’re not strong enough…” YunHo stared at Eunah and motioned her to talk further. “You can switch from place with your mate, but when you’re doing that you’re taking all his injuries, his burned skin, pain and fever. Your mate will be healed immediately, but you will be in danger. As a vampire you must be capable to heal yourself, but only if you have drunk enough blood. But even if you have drunk enough blood and if you are strong when you’re doing this, this process can go wrong and is very dangerous for any vampire.” Eunah looked seriously at YunHo while she spoke, knowing that YunHo would do everything he could to help his mate. “This process is something I have never see before with my own eyes, but a friend of mine has done this years ago. I can tell you how it works if you really want this.
YunHo did not think long about this decision, he asked Eunah immediately to tell him everything she knew about it and what he needed to do. YunHo was blaming himself for JaeJoong’s bad condition and found that it was his responsibility as JaeJoong’s mate to help, protect and to take care of JaeJoong. Even if he has himself had to suffer terrible pain. Not much later, after she had told YunHo everything he needed to know, she left the house, knowing that YunHo would harm himself but she also knew that he had no other choice. YunHo was smart and had to make his own decisions, she would do the same if her mate was in danger and so would every vampire.
Just when YunHo wanted to lift JaeJoong up in his arms, ready to bring him back to their bedroom he heard how someone walked to the front door and knocked a few minutes later. YunHo placed JaeJoong back on the couch and opened the door. When the door was open far enough he saw who were standing before him. HyunJoong smiled friendly at him and held JungMin’s hand. Both HyunJoong and JungMin bowed politely for YunHo and asked if they could come in. YunHo nodded but asked his new friends to lower their voices because JaeJoong was sleeping in the living room. When JungMin had entered the room and saw JaeJoong he stiffened. With a pale face he stopped the carrot he was eating in his pocket, out of respect for YunHo and JaeJoong. “How is he?” JungMin saw JaeJoong’s pale face, he heard his raspy breathing and had a suspicion that JaeJoong had a fever. JungMin saw that JaeJoong’s burns were still not healed and the skin around the burns was discolored. It looked very painful. When JungMin looked up at YunHo he saw the defeated expression on YunHo’s face. “He is still not recovering, he… It’s bad… His condition will only worsen if I’m not helping him fast.” YunHo walked to his mate and knelt besides JaeJoong on the floor and grabbed his cold hand. “I’m going to heal JaeJoong tonight, I’m taking all JaeJoong’s injuries and try to heal myself afterwards”. YunHo hoped that if he had helped JaeJoong and when JaeJoong was no longer in pain that he could do everything on his own tempo. “What?!” Shouted HyunJoong shocked and stared unbelievingly at YunHo. “Do you have any idea how dangerous it is for a vampire to have sunburns? What you’re planning to do now is really dangerous and only the last resort if you really can’t do anything else! JaeJoong would not…” HyunJoong glanced quickly at JaeJoong and looked questioningly at YunHo. “Or is this really your last chance to help him?” HyunJoong was feeling sick, he could not think about the feeling YunHo must have now, now that his mate was in such a danger.
“I have no other choice, the only other option I have is to transform JaeJoong into a vampire, but he is not ready for that. I can’t and won’t force JaeJoong to something he doesn’t want, I’m afraid that if I’m forcing him to do this that I will lose him…” YunHo exchanged a quick glance with his own mate and placed his hand on YunHo’s shoulder. “Do you want me to come check on you and JaeJoong this evening, controlling if everything has gone alright? I will take JungMin with me so he can help me to calm JaeJoong down when we are inside.” YunHo nodded slowly but looked a little bit doubtful at HyunJoong. “JaeJoong will not be happy when is he is healed en he is seeing you, but if you’re not close to him and make no unexpected movements I think that he will accept your presence, he has seen you before so I hope that it will be okay.” YunHo hesitated if he must wake up JaeJoong first and ask him if it was okay for HyunJoong and JungMin to come over in the evening when he had healed JaeJoong. But YunHo decided almost immediately to not tell JaeJoong about his plans and why HyunJoong and JungMin were coming, JaeJoong would not understand him and he would not accept it that YunHo would hurt himself only to help JaeJoong. “Do you want us to do something for you while you’re sick?” YunHo thought about HyunJoong’s question but shook his head. “No, JaeJoong has everything he needs till I’m strong enough to help him. The only important thing now for me is to drink enough blood so I’m strong enough. But if you’re okay with it If i can use JungMin’s help, he can ask JaeJoong if it is okay for me to drink from a human donor while I’m sick, or if JaeJoong is not okay with it he can help JaeJoong and support him while I’m drinking from him.” JungMin looked up when YunHo had talked about him to HyunJoong and grabbed JaeJoong’s cold hand. “I will help him as long as needed” said JungMin immediately, suspecting that JaeJoong could use all the help he could get.
“JungMin, I think we should go now and give YunHo a little time alone with JaeJoong, I’m sure that he has a lot of things to do before he can trade places with JaeJoong.” JungMin knew that his mate was right but he found it difficult to leave, he felt guilty know he knew that it was not his fault that JaeJoong was exposed to the sunlight and that there was nothing he had could done to prevent it. JungMin did not know what JaeJoong had wanted to do, and even if he had known then he was still not able to stop him, the sunlight was even dangerous for JungMin as for JaeJoong, maybe more dangerous because JungMin was a vampire mate for a longer time than JaeJoong. “Okay” JungMin let go of JaeJoong’s hand and left with reluctance the house after HyunJoong. JungMin looked a few times back when he left, worriedly wondering what would happen exactly, he knew the basics from what YunHo was planning to do, but he was no vampire so he could only guess. He had understood from the conversation between HyunJoong and YunHo that YunHo would bring himself in danger, but what would happen further JungMin did not know. He hoped that it was nothing too dangerous...
When YunHo had closed the door behind HyunJoong and JungMin he locked the door. He wanted no visitors when he was busy with JaeJoong. He grabbed a piece of paper, a pen and an envelope and sat down on the couch. He wanted to write a letter to JaeJoong, afraid that if he was too weak he could not tell JaeJoong what he had done. He wanted to explain everything to JaeJoong in this letter and wanted to tell him to not worry about him. It was also important for JaeJoong to know that HyunJoong and JungMin were coming so he needed to unlock the door. YunHo assumed of course that he didn’t need the letter and thought that he could tell JaeJoong everything himself, he knew himself and knew that something more was needed than a few sunburns to take him out. But to take no unnecessary risks he wrote the letter and explained everything to JaeJoong, what he had done and what he expected from JaeJoong when he was sick. When YunHo was done with writing his letter for JaeJoong he stopped the letter in the envelope and wrote JaeJoong’s name on the envelope and looked at his sleeping mate. He really hoped that JaeJoong would accept the help from HyunJoong and JungMin, he alone was not ready to do this, JaeJoong needed the help from a other vampire. JaeJoong occurred always strong for the people he knew and he had always lived alone without problems, but YunHo knew better, he knew JaeJoong. JaeJoong needed someone who would support him, take care of him, he needed someone who would tell him what to do and he needed someone who loved him.
YunHo placed the envelope on the coffee table and knew that JaeJoong would find the envelope there immediately. After he was done with everything he lifted JaeJoong up and carried him to their bedroom. He placed JaeJoong in the middle of the bed and laid next to him, knowing that if he had healed JaeJoong he would be too weak to come back to bed himself. YunHo also suspected that JaeJoong would not be strong enough to lift him back to the bed himself, he was too heavy for JaeJoong to lift. JaeJoong shifted uneasy next YunHo when he came besides him in bed but didn’t wake up. “YunHo” muttered JaeJoong softly in his sleep and searched with his hand for YunHo. YunHo grabbed JaeJoong’s cold hand and gave him a soft squeeze, calming JaeJoong. JaeJoong called YunHo for another few times and calmed down and slept further. YunHo placed his right hand on JaeJoong’s forehead and used a little of his vampire powers to make JaeJoong insensible to pain, especially the pain in his hands. When he noted that his plan worked he grabbed JaeJoong’s hand again and bit softly in one of JaeJoong’s fingertips. A small drop of blood welled up from JaeJoong’s finger and YunHo squeezed JaeJoong’s fingertip gently, trying to make the drop blood bigger. When YunHo was satisfied with the amount of blood on JaeJoong’s finger he bit his own finger and created an equally large drop of blood as on JaeJoong's finger. YunHo kissed JaeJoong gently on his forehead and looked for a last time lovingly at his sleeping mate before he pressed his own bleeding finger against JaeJoong’s. He felt almost immediately how his blood mingled with JaeJoong’s blood, it was a strange feeling, it was as if JaeJoong’s blood was pulling on him, drugging him. He even felt JaeJoong’s heartbeat through his blood, he felt JaeJoong’s breathing as if it was his own breathing instead or JaeJoong’s. And then he felt the pain, a terrible pain...
YunHo gasped for breath and almost pulled his hand away from JaeJoong, almost breaking the contact between JaeJoong and YunHo. But almost immediately YunHo recovered from his shock and pressed his bloody fingertip stronger against JaeJoong’s finger. YunHo was breathing heavier than before and started to shake, he was not fully aware of what he was doing now he was still asleep but when he awakened he would feel the change in his body. YunHo wanted to prevent that JaeJoong would wake up and stroked with his free over JaeJoong’s forehead and tried to calm him so he would not wake up from his sleep. YunHo was not sure for how long he could use his vampire powers now that he was weakening, but he knew that he would soon be too weak to use them properly. But even though he knew that he was weakening fast he still uses his powers to hold JaeJoong asleep as long as possible, ignoring his own pain. YunHo started to shake just as JaeJoong, the pain that was entering his body through JaeJoong’s blood was overwhelming and his vision become blurred. Everything around him become blurry, he even could not see JaeJoong’s face anymore who was only a few inches away from his. YunHo felt how his skin started to burn and not much later he felt a terrible pain on his face, hands, arms and even his wrists! The pain he felt was exactly on the same places as JaeJoong’s sunburns. He felt how there appeared all over his body and he almost fainted from the pain that was much stronger for him as a vampire than for JaeJoong as a human. For a vampire it was very dangerous to have sunburns and HyunJoong was right, if something was going wrong he could die. YunHo didn’t realize that he had removed his hand from JaeJoong’s forehead, hazy from the pain and didn’t realize that JaeJoong started to wake now that he didn’t feel YunHo’s influence anymore. JaeJoong opened his eyes and stared in horror up at YunHo who was in a visible pain next to him.
“YunHo! What are you doing?!” Screamed JaeJoong and he tried to push YunHo away from him, trying to pull away his bloody hand from YunHo. He had immediately felt when he awakened what YunHo was doing and panicked. He saw the sunburns on YunHo’s body, he saw his sunburns on YunHo’s body! YunHo was in pain and he felt the desperation YunHo felt through the connection between him and YunHo. He also saw that his own body was healed, he had no longer pain, his fever and even his sunburns were gone! ”YunHo, stop!” Screamed JaeJoong in panic and started to push and pull YunHo away from him. He hoped that if he could push YunHo away from him he could break the bond between himself and YunHo but it didn’t work, YunHo’s body was weak but still much stronger than him. Even in pain YunHo was stronger than any human on the world and JaeJoong realized that it was impossible for him to free himself from YunHo’s strong grip. JaeJoong was suddenly very scared, he was afraid of YunHo. JaeJoong was not really sure how dangerous it was what YunHo tried to do, but he was not stupid and knew that a vampire could not have sunburns. His burns were caused by the sun and YunHo could not stand the sun! “YunHo, stop! Please! Screamed JaeJoong again and started to sob in despair. JaeJoong realized now why YunHo did this, he was bringing himself in danger only because JaeJoong was too scared to turn into a vampire. It was all his fault! “Stop, please!” JaeJoong begged now softly, “if you’re stopping now I will do what you want and… I will turn into a vampire…” JaeJoong forced himself to speak those words, but he was prepared to do anything for YunHo if he could stop him now, even if he needed to do that where he was so afraid of. “YunHo, Stop hurting yourself! I will do it, I will transform into a vampire” screamed JaeJoong again between his sobs and pressed his tearful face against YunHo’s now trembling chest, hoping that YunHo would hear him and would stop with what he was doing now.

When JaeJoong woke up the vampires who had watched him a few minutes before were gone and YunHo sat with a worried expression next him on the bed. JaeJoong shivered and found it difficult to move without pain and was too weak. JaeJoong smiled weakly at YunHo and tried to hold YunHo’s hand, searching for comfort. He watched YunHo carefully and saw that there was something wrong with him, YunHo looked almost…Desperate… YunHo stood up and lifted JaeJoong wordlessly, he carried JaeJoong to the living room and kissed him shortly on his forehead. JaeJoong didn’t understand what was wrong with YunHo and why YunHo had taken him to the living room, but he didn’t ask anything. JaeJoong knew now better and had learned from his faults, he would no longer doubt about YunHo and would listen to him, whatever he did. YunHo laid JaeJoong on the couch and covered him with a warm thick blanket. “The girl who you have seen when I drank her blood is coming over in a few minutes, I need to drink from her” said YunHo calmly. He found it difficult to do but he had made his final decision, he would transform JaeJoong into a vampire, even if he was not willing and he needed to force him. He did not want to take the risk that JaeJoong could get even more sicker and that he might not get better. He knew that JaeJoong would be mad at him, but he would accept it eventually. He had no choice, not if JaeJoong wanted to survive this. He knew that when he had transformed JaeJoong that he needed all his strength, because when JaeJoong was a newborn vampire he could not drink all the blood he needed. He needed to stay with JaeJoong and support him all the time, the first few days would be very exhausting for them both. YunHo saw JaeJoong’s sad face when he heard why YunHo was in the living room but did not protest about it. He had given YunHo his permission and he would hold his word to YunHo, even if it was difficult for him to do so.
The girl knocked on the door and YunHo invited her into their house with a friendly smile on his face. YunHo bowed politely for the girl, even if she was not a Asian girl and tried to look relaxed and calm. The girl smiled back at YunHo and looked curiously at JaeJoong who was lying on the couch and looked very weak and tired. “Please, come in” said YunHo in a language JaeJoong didn’t understand, he suspected that it was English. YunHo introduced JaeJoong first to the girl in his own langue and spoke again in English to the girl, JaeJoong heard his own name so he concluded that YunHo had introduced him to the girl too. When JaeJoong looked at the girl and saw how pretty she was he felt jealous again, but he tried to hide it, knowing now that the girl here was to help YunHo and that that was the only reason. JaeJoong forced himself to smile at the girl but snuggled immediately closer against YunHo, searching for comfort. JaeJoong missed the smile on YunHo’s face when he felt JaeJoong’s emotions and saw his reaction to the girl, happy that JaeJoong wanted him only for himself, not wanting to share him with somebody else. After a last quick glance at JaeJoong he took the wrists of the girl and cut with his nail a small cut in her flesh. He drank as fast as he could without hurting the girl, but also wanting to get over it as fast as possible, for JaeJoong’s sake. When he was done, a few minutes later he helped the girl to clean the cut on her wrists and helped her out after thanking her again for her help. When YunHo had closed the door behind the girl he looked at JaeJoong and suddenly felt worried again. JaeJoong’s face was too pale, even for JaeJoong and he did his best to stay awake on the couch. YunHo walked back to JaeJoong and sad with a worried expression next to him, looking cautiously at his mate. When he looked down at JaeJoong he knew that he was doing the right thing, but it was hard for him to ignore JaeJoong’s wishes and doing things to him he didn’t wanted. But he also knew that it was for JaeJoong’s own safety and that was all what mattered now, but it bothered him still… He wanted to talk first with JaeJoong and tell him what he wanted to do and if he still didn’t wanted to transform into a vampire. He hoped that JaeJoong wanted to transform, he had given himself already to him, he had said that he loved him… But did JaeJoong love him enough to transform into a vampire for him? YunHo had already decided that he would transform him, even if JaeJoong still refused. If it was necessary he would use his powers to influence JaeJoong.
JaeJoong was unaware of YunHo’s tense posture, his dark thoughts and his uneasy feelings… JaeJoong closed his eyes and leaned against YunHo’s chest, still trying to stay awake. He was worried, even if he didn’t talked about it , he didn’t voice his worries because he trusted YunHo and knew that YunHo would do the right thing, he also was convinced that YunHo would do nothing against his will.
YunHo stroked a few hair locks out of JaeJoong’s face and used a little bit from his now recovered vampire powers to give JaeJoong a little bit more energy, just enough for JaeJoong to stay awake for the next fifteen minutes so that they could talk with each other while JaeJoong was fully awake and did understand what he said to him. JaeJoong looked confused up at YunHo when he suddenly felt the change in his body and he realized what YunHo had done. He opened his mouth to ask YunHo what he wanted to do now but kept quiet and looked up at YunHo, looking straight into his eyes. JaeJoong had suspected that YunHo would look calmer and relaxed now he had drank blood from the human girl, but YunHo wasn’t looking calm and relaxed… YunHo looked exactly the same as before when he was still thirsty for blood, he was still worried and because of that JaeJoong was even more worried now. “Yun, is there something wrong? Are you okay?” he asked with a worried expression on his exhausted face. He was feeling suddenly very uneasy, even afraid and wondered why YunHo was looking so worried at him, almost afraid. What was wrong with YunHo? YunHo looked around him, he tried to think of a way to start the conversation with JaeJoong but did not know how he would do it. He knew that would react badly to him, he would protest and argue with him, he was sure about that. JaeJoong had made his point, he didn’t wanted to be a vampire, not this fast anyway. YunHo stood up abruptly and started to walk small circles in the living room. He was aware of JaeJoong’s reaction, he observed all the things YunHo was doing, he listened to JaeJoong’s thoughts and heard all his confused thoughts. YunHo was finding it even harder to talk with JaeJoong now that he had heard all of JaeJoong’s worried thoughts.
YunHo stopped with his walk when he heard JaeJoong’s panicked thoughts and turned around to look at him. ”Oh no, he wants me to become a vampire, I’m sure of that!” Thought JaeJoong sadly. He could clearly hear the fear in JaeJoong’s mind and started to feel even worse than before. But YunHo realized too late that his reaction to JaeJoong’s thoughts explained enough for JaeJoong, JaeJoong knew now why YunHo was reacting so stressed because of his thoughts about turning into a vampire. JaeJoong stared open mouthed up at YunHo, wondering if he was dreaming. Maybe he had fallen asleep on the couch and this was all a bad dream, only a dream… “YunHo?” JaeJoong wanted YunHo to tell him that everything was going to be alight, he wanted to tell him not to worry… But YunHo said nothing to him, he didn’t shake his head, he didn’t smile at him, he only looked worried at him. JaeJoong was suddenly very scared now that YunHo didn’t reacted to him and wanted that YunHo said something to him, he wanted YunHo to break the tension in the room. YunHo took a deep breath and tried to gather all his courage to speak, knowing that he must talk with JaeJoong. YunHo swallowed and walked slowly to JaeJoong and sat next him on the couch. YunHo took JaeJoong’s hand in his and gave him a soft squeeze. He held JaeJoong’s hand not only because JaeJoong needed comfort, but also to prevent that JaeJoong wanted to flee away from him if he started to talk. He was afraid that if JaeJoong tried to walk away that he would become weaker, he was too weak to walk alone, he needed YunHo.
“JaeJoong, I want you to listen to me when I’m talking and try not to panic, okay?” YunHo knew that he asked a lot from JaeJoong and that he still would react badly to what he would tell him, but he wanted to try it, he needed to try it. He wanted and hoped that JaeJoong would give him his permission. YunHo looked questioningly at JaeJoong and waited patiently for JaeJoong to nod at him. When JaeJoong eventually nodded and made clear that he would listen to him YunHo felt a little more comfortable. “JaeJoong, please don’t be mad at me, but when you were asleep I had invited a few vampires, they have looked at you, only to help you.” YunHo stopped with talking when he saw JaeJoong’s reaction, JaeJoong’s whole body had stiffened and he stared with disbelieve in his eyes up at YunHo, he felt betrayed. The thought that YunHo had betrayed him was hurting him so much… Why had YunHo do that to him, knowing that he was afraid of all the other vampires? YunHo tightened his hold on JaeJoong’s hand and continued his story quickly, afraid that JaeJoong would interrupt him. “Jae, I had asked those vampires to come over and to look at you only because I was worried about you, you’re sick JaeJoong and you need help, the sun was too strong for you to handle. The vampires who watched you earlier have a lot more experiences with situations like this, they knew what to do.” YunHo stopped for a few seconds to look at JaeJoong, checking if he still listened to him and continued to talk. “You body is reacting too strongly to the sunlight you were in contact with, you will become only sicker and sicker from now on… The pain you’re feeling now will become stronger and your fever would be very dangerous. The only way to become better is to… You must transform into a vampire JaeJoong, I’m sorry… “ YunHo was praying silently and hoped that JaeJoong would react not all too stressed and scared. YunHo wondered if JaeJoong would be mad at him...
JaeJoong stared with a chocked expression up at YunHo and was really scared now that he had heard YunHo’s story. “No!” Yelled JaeJoong suddenly and tried to stand and walk away from YunHo. He didn’t want to hear more, he didn’t wanted to hear what YunHo had to tell him. The conversation was finished for him, he was not going to transform into a vampire! Not now and not even in a few weeks! There must be another option for him to get better, he was sure of that! YunHo was still holding JaeJoong’s hand and didn’t let go of him when JaeJoong tried to stand up, he pulled JaeJoong back to the couch and so YunHo prevented that JaeJoong would have fallen to the ground. “Please, let me go” begged JaeJoong with a trembling voice and looked panicked at YunHo, “Please, don’t do this to me” JaeJoong whispered desperate. “No” said YunHo firmly, “if I let you go now you will try to run away from me, which is not good for you now. You’re in a horribly bad condition.” YunHo sighed and closed his eyes. He had planned to force JaeJoong if he needed to but had decided otherwise. “No, he needed to convince JaeJoong, he wanted that JaeJoong would do everything willingly and without force. He knew that if he would force JaeJoong to do this he would regret it for the rest of his very long life. “I’m not going to force you JaeJoong, i only want that you will think about it so you will make the right decision.” YunHo pulled the now trembling JaeJoong in his arms and rocked him softly, mumbling soft words into his ear and waited till his vampire power, that had held JaeJoong awake, were elaborated. He watched with a sad smile how JaeJoong drifted to sleep.
A few minutes passed and YunHo saw how JaeJoong was becoming weaker and weaker. JaeJoong’s fever become higher and YunHo needed to use his powers again on JaeJoong’s body to press the fever. JaeJoong woke every few minutes, his heartbeat was too fast and he became weaker when he opened his eyes. YunHo suspected that JaeJoong’s bad condition would be worse if he still couldn’t eat his food without vomiting. When JaeJoong woke again after a few minutes he realized that YunHo was gone and started to panic, where was he? He was always by his side when he woke up! JaeJoong tried to stand up so that he could search for YunHo but his legs were too weak to carry his weight. He fell with a soft thud to the ground and his whole body began to shiver, exhausted from his attempt to stand and move. JaeJoong wondered worriedly why YunHo was not near him and why he had not hear him fall, normally he was hearing everything he did. JaeJoong crawled on all fours into the living room and pushed the door ajar. He saw YunHo, he was standing in the middle of the living room with his back turned against him, he was in a deep conversation with a women JaeJoong had never seen before. JaeJoong was afraid that the women was a vampire like YunHo and wanted to close the door before someone would see him. But just when he wanted to close the door he staggered from exhaustion and bumped with his arm against the doorframe. Both the woman and YunHo stopped with their conversation and turned to look at him. They both looked at JaeJoong and saw how he sat on the ground with his body against the wall, too tired to move more. “JaeJoong!” YunHo yelled and ran to him while the women stood still in the living room, she didn’t made a attempt to come closer to him. She stared at JaeJoong with an intense expression on her face. JaeJoong felt insecure now that the women was standing so close and was staring at him, he pressed his face against YunHo’s chest and closed his eyes, not thinking about his conversation with YunHo before he had fallen asleep a few hours ago. “Who is that?” JaeJoong whispered, wondering if the women was a blood donor and that that was the reason why YunHo had not woken him. YunHo hesitated but he wanted to tell him the truth, he had promised JaeJoong to tell him always the truth and to not lie to him, so he decided to tell him who the women was. “This is Eunah, a vampire who wanted to know how you’re feeling now.” JaeJoong’s eyes widened when he heard that he was in one room with a strange vampire and grabbed YunHo’s arm tightly.
JaeJoong tried to struggle back to his bedroom, away from Eunah but he noted that he was too weak to come far, his whole body was hurting and YunHo was not letting go of him, his arms were holding him against his body, preventing him from hurting himself. Everything was hurting, his hands, his arms… And his face was the worst, the sun had hit him there the strongest. Only the memory of the sun was making him scared and sad. “JaeJoong, do you want to come with me to the living room so that you can try and eat something?” YunHo asked hopefully and glanced quickly at Eunah, warning her to not scare JaeJoong. “No I…” JaeJoong did not want to come closer to the vampire in the living room, but he knew that YunHo was right, he needed to eat something. YunHo was kneeling next to JaeJoong and smiled friendly at him. “Eunah will not harm you, and if she will try it I promise you that I will protect you” YunHo spoke calm and friendly to JaeJoong, hoping that JaeJoong would listen to him and that he would believe him that he was safe. YunHo hoped that JaeJoong still trusted him, even now after their talk about transforming into a vampire. YunHo thought that it would be good for JaeJoong to leave the dark bedroom for a few minutes, if possible longer. YunHo had apparently a little help because just when JaeJoong wanted to protest again he saw his little kitten, Micky. Micky started to purr when he saw JaeJoong and pressed his small body against JaeJoong, begging for a little attention from his owner. YunHo used the opportunity and lifted Micky up in his arms. “Come with me to the living room so you can hold Micky, I’m sure that he has missed you while you were sick.” JaeJoong hesitated, he had missed Micky and wanted to hold his little kitten, but if he needed to sit in the same room with the vampire woman… “Okay” said JaeJoong eventually hesitatingly but didn’t let go of YunHo’s arm while he surrendered . “Stay with me” Said JaeJoong while he looked cautiously at Eunah and pressed himself closer against YunHo’s warm and safe body. “Of course” nodded YunHo while he tried to hide his triumphant smile because JaeJoong trusted him! He let go of Micky and lifted JaeJoong up in his arms and kissed him softly on his forehead. “Thank you” whispered YunHo in his ear. YunHo brought JaeJoong to the couch and held JaeJoong in his arms, on his lap while he called for Micky. Eunah moved soundlessly through the living room and sad down in the chair opposite JaeJoong and YunHo. Eunah had been silent since she had saw JaeJoong and started at him the whole time . YunHo knew that JaeJoong didn’t liked it that Eunah was staring at him and he glanced shortly at her. JaeJoong saw that Eunah immediately looked away from him when she saw YunHo.
JaeJoong did not like it to be this close to Eunah in the same room and watched her the whole time, ready to hide behind YunHo if she would be dangerous. JaeJoong lay with his head on the shoulder of YunHo. He had patted with a shaking hand the fur from Micky, enjoying the feeling from YunHo’s warm and strong arm around his waist. He heard how YunHo talked in a low voice with Eunah but was too tired to concentrate properly on the conversation between his mate and Eunah. JaeJoong heard his name and looked up slowly at YunHo, wondering what they were talking about. But after a few minutes he gave up to follow the conversation, YunHo and Eunah were talking too fast for him to understand. JaeJoong had thought that he could not rest in the presence of the vampire, he had thought that he would be too stressed, but apparently his tiredness was stronger than his discomfort. Before he realized it he slumbered to sleep and snuggled closer against YunHo, searching for comfort and protection. He closes his eyes, trying to fight the dizziness he felt and when YunHo had placed his hand on his arm he fell asleep.
The conversation between YunHo and Eunah stilled and the two vampires both stared worriedly at the restless sleeping JaeJoong. “YunHo, I know that this is not an ideal situation, but it is not good for both of you to stay any longer in this situation, maybe you need to…” YunHo glanced warningly at Eunah and then at JaeJoong. “What do you want me to do Eunah, forcing him to transform into a vampire without his permission? Do I really need to force him to transform in something he is afraid of? You have seen how he reacted to your presence, he is afraid of you and with you all the vampires in the world. The only reason why he has accepted to stay in the same room with you is because I’m with him and because I promised him to protect him! There must be another way to help JaeJoong! If I’m transforming JaeJoong now without his permission then I’m afraid I will lose him forever! You have no idea how hard I have tried to win his trust and love, he was not willing to leave his old life when I first met him, he was even afraid of me… I’m sure that if I’m forcing him to do this, he will try to leave me! I know that he could not part with me forever, we are bonded, but he will try it!” YunHo raised his voice while he spoke to Eunah and noted that JaeJoong responded unconsciously to his raised voice. Afraid to wake JaeJoong he lowered his voice and looked desperately at Eunah, “is there really no other option for me to help JaeJoong, a way to help him without forcing him to something he doesn’t want?” Eunah nodded but didn’t look happy. “There is a way, but it is dangerous and can be fatal for you if you’re not strong enough…” YunHo stared at Eunah and motioned her to talk further. “You can switch from place with your mate, but when you’re doing that you’re taking all his injuries, his burned skin, pain and fever. Your mate will be healed immediately, but you will be in danger. As a vampire you must be capable to heal yourself, but only if you have drunk enough blood. But even if you have drunk enough blood and if you are strong when you’re doing this, this process can go wrong and is very dangerous for any vampire.” Eunah looked seriously at YunHo while she spoke, knowing that YunHo would do everything he could to help his mate. “This process is something I have never see before with my own eyes, but a friend of mine has done this years ago. I can tell you how it works if you really want this.
YunHo did not think long about this decision, he asked Eunah immediately to tell him everything she knew about it and what he needed to do. YunHo was blaming himself for JaeJoong’s bad condition and found that it was his responsibility as JaeJoong’s mate to help, protect and to take care of JaeJoong. Even if he has himself had to suffer terrible pain. Not much later, after she had told YunHo everything he needed to know, she left the house, knowing that YunHo would harm himself but she also knew that he had no other choice. YunHo was smart and had to make his own decisions, she would do the same if her mate was in danger and so would every vampire.
Just when YunHo wanted to lift JaeJoong up in his arms, ready to bring him back to their bedroom he heard how someone walked to the front door and knocked a few minutes later. YunHo placed JaeJoong back on the couch and opened the door. When the door was open far enough he saw who were standing before him. HyunJoong smiled friendly at him and held JungMin’s hand. Both HyunJoong and JungMin bowed politely for YunHo and asked if they could come in. YunHo nodded but asked his new friends to lower their voices because JaeJoong was sleeping in the living room. When JungMin had entered the room and saw JaeJoong he stiffened. With a pale face he stopped the carrot he was eating in his pocket, out of respect for YunHo and JaeJoong. “How is he?” JungMin saw JaeJoong’s pale face, he heard his raspy breathing and had a suspicion that JaeJoong had a fever. JungMin saw that JaeJoong’s burns were still not healed and the skin around the burns was discolored. It looked very painful. When JungMin looked up at YunHo he saw the defeated expression on YunHo’s face. “He is still not recovering, he… It’s bad… His condition will only worsen if I’m not helping him fast.” YunHo walked to his mate and knelt besides JaeJoong on the floor and grabbed his cold hand. “I’m going to heal JaeJoong tonight, I’m taking all JaeJoong’s injuries and try to heal myself afterwards”. YunHo hoped that if he had helped JaeJoong and when JaeJoong was no longer in pain that he could do everything on his own tempo. “What?!” Shouted HyunJoong shocked and stared unbelievingly at YunHo. “Do you have any idea how dangerous it is for a vampire to have sunburns? What you’re planning to do now is really dangerous and only the last resort if you really can’t do anything else! JaeJoong would not…” HyunJoong glanced quickly at JaeJoong and looked questioningly at YunHo. “Or is this really your last chance to help him?” HyunJoong was feeling sick, he could not think about the feeling YunHo must have now, now that his mate was in such a danger.
“I have no other choice, the only other option I have is to transform JaeJoong into a vampire, but he is not ready for that. I can’t and won’t force JaeJoong to something he doesn’t want, I’m afraid that if I’m forcing him to do this that I will lose him…” YunHo exchanged a quick glance with his own mate and placed his hand on YunHo’s shoulder. “Do you want me to come check on you and JaeJoong this evening, controlling if everything has gone alright? I will take JungMin with me so he can help me to calm JaeJoong down when we are inside.” YunHo nodded slowly but looked a little bit doubtful at HyunJoong. “JaeJoong will not be happy when is he is healed en he is seeing you, but if you’re not close to him and make no unexpected movements I think that he will accept your presence, he has seen you before so I hope that it will be okay.” YunHo hesitated if he must wake up JaeJoong first and ask him if it was okay for HyunJoong and JungMin to come over in the evening when he had healed JaeJoong. But YunHo decided almost immediately to not tell JaeJoong about his plans and why HyunJoong and JungMin were coming, JaeJoong would not understand him and he would not accept it that YunHo would hurt himself only to help JaeJoong. “Do you want us to do something for you while you’re sick?” YunHo thought about HyunJoong’s question but shook his head. “No, JaeJoong has everything he needs till I’m strong enough to help him. The only important thing now for me is to drink enough blood so I’m strong enough. But if you’re okay with it If i can use JungMin’s help, he can ask JaeJoong if it is okay for me to drink from a human donor while I’m sick, or if JaeJoong is not okay with it he can help JaeJoong and support him while I’m drinking from him.” JungMin looked up when YunHo had talked about him to HyunJoong and grabbed JaeJoong’s cold hand. “I will help him as long as needed” said JungMin immediately, suspecting that JaeJoong could use all the help he could get.
“JungMin, I think we should go now and give YunHo a little time alone with JaeJoong, I’m sure that he has a lot of things to do before he can trade places with JaeJoong.” JungMin knew that his mate was right but he found it difficult to leave, he felt guilty know he knew that it was not his fault that JaeJoong was exposed to the sunlight and that there was nothing he had could done to prevent it. JungMin did not know what JaeJoong had wanted to do, and even if he had known then he was still not able to stop him, the sunlight was even dangerous for JungMin as for JaeJoong, maybe more dangerous because JungMin was a vampire mate for a longer time than JaeJoong. “Okay” JungMin let go of JaeJoong’s hand and left with reluctance the house after HyunJoong. JungMin looked a few times back when he left, worriedly wondering what would happen exactly, he knew the basics from what YunHo was planning to do, but he was no vampire so he could only guess. He had understood from the conversation between HyunJoong and YunHo that YunHo would bring himself in danger, but what would happen further JungMin did not know. He hoped that it was nothing too dangerous...
When YunHo had closed the door behind HyunJoong and JungMin he locked the door. He wanted no visitors when he was busy with JaeJoong. He grabbed a piece of paper, a pen and an envelope and sat down on the couch. He wanted to write a letter to JaeJoong, afraid that if he was too weak he could not tell JaeJoong what he had done. He wanted to explain everything to JaeJoong in this letter and wanted to tell him to not worry about him. It was also important for JaeJoong to know that HyunJoong and JungMin were coming so he needed to unlock the door. YunHo assumed of course that he didn’t need the letter and thought that he could tell JaeJoong everything himself, he knew himself and knew that something more was needed than a few sunburns to take him out. But to take no unnecessary risks he wrote the letter and explained everything to JaeJoong, what he had done and what he expected from JaeJoong when he was sick. When YunHo was done with writing his letter for JaeJoong he stopped the letter in the envelope and wrote JaeJoong’s name on the envelope and looked at his sleeping mate. He really hoped that JaeJoong would accept the help from HyunJoong and JungMin, he alone was not ready to do this, JaeJoong needed the help from a other vampire. JaeJoong occurred always strong for the people he knew and he had always lived alone without problems, but YunHo knew better, he knew JaeJoong. JaeJoong needed someone who would support him, take care of him, he needed someone who would tell him what to do and he needed someone who loved him.
YunHo placed the envelope on the coffee table and knew that JaeJoong would find the envelope there immediately. After he was done with everything he lifted JaeJoong up and carried him to their bedroom. He placed JaeJoong in the middle of the bed and laid next to him, knowing that if he had healed JaeJoong he would be too weak to come back to bed himself. YunHo also suspected that JaeJoong would not be strong enough to lift him back to the bed himself, he was too heavy for JaeJoong to lift. JaeJoong shifted uneasy next YunHo when he came besides him in bed but didn’t wake up. “YunHo” muttered JaeJoong softly in his sleep and searched with his hand for YunHo. YunHo grabbed JaeJoong’s cold hand and gave him a soft squeeze, calming JaeJoong. JaeJoong called YunHo for another few times and calmed down and slept further. YunHo placed his right hand on JaeJoong’s forehead and used a little of his vampire powers to make JaeJoong insensible to pain, especially the pain in his hands. When he noted that his plan worked he grabbed JaeJoong’s hand again and bit softly in one of JaeJoong’s fingertips. A small drop of blood welled up from JaeJoong’s finger and YunHo squeezed JaeJoong’s fingertip gently, trying to make the drop blood bigger. When YunHo was satisfied with the amount of blood on JaeJoong’s finger he bit his own finger and created an equally large drop of blood as on JaeJoong's finger. YunHo kissed JaeJoong gently on his forehead and looked for a last time lovingly at his sleeping mate before he pressed his own bleeding finger against JaeJoong’s. He felt almost immediately how his blood mingled with JaeJoong’s blood, it was a strange feeling, it was as if JaeJoong’s blood was pulling on him, drugging him. He even felt JaeJoong’s heartbeat through his blood, he felt JaeJoong’s breathing as if it was his own breathing instead or JaeJoong’s. And then he felt the pain, a terrible pain...
YunHo gasped for breath and almost pulled his hand away from JaeJoong, almost breaking the contact between JaeJoong and YunHo. But almost immediately YunHo recovered from his shock and pressed his bloody fingertip stronger against JaeJoong’s finger. YunHo was breathing heavier than before and started to shake, he was not fully aware of what he was doing now he was still asleep but when he awakened he would feel the change in his body. YunHo wanted to prevent that JaeJoong would wake up and stroked with his free over JaeJoong’s forehead and tried to calm him so he would not wake up from his sleep. YunHo was not sure for how long he could use his vampire powers now that he was weakening, but he knew that he would soon be too weak to use them properly. But even though he knew that he was weakening fast he still uses his powers to hold JaeJoong asleep as long as possible, ignoring his own pain. YunHo started to shake just as JaeJoong, the pain that was entering his body through JaeJoong’s blood was overwhelming and his vision become blurred. Everything around him become blurry, he even could not see JaeJoong’s face anymore who was only a few inches away from his. YunHo felt how his skin started to burn and not much later he felt a terrible pain on his face, hands, arms and even his wrists! The pain he felt was exactly on the same places as JaeJoong’s sunburns. He felt how there appeared all over his body and he almost fainted from the pain that was much stronger for him as a vampire than for JaeJoong as a human. For a vampire it was very dangerous to have sunburns and HyunJoong was right, if something was going wrong he could die. YunHo didn’t realize that he had removed his hand from JaeJoong’s forehead, hazy from the pain and didn’t realize that JaeJoong started to wake now that he didn’t feel YunHo’s influence anymore. JaeJoong opened his eyes and stared in horror up at YunHo who was in a visible pain next to him.
“YunHo! What are you doing?!” Screamed JaeJoong and he tried to push YunHo away from him, trying to pull away his bloody hand from YunHo. He had immediately felt when he awakened what YunHo was doing and panicked. He saw the sunburns on YunHo’s body, he saw his sunburns on YunHo’s body! YunHo was in pain and he felt the desperation YunHo felt through the connection between him and YunHo. He also saw that his own body was healed, he had no longer pain, his fever and even his sunburns were gone! ”YunHo, stop!” Screamed JaeJoong in panic and started to push and pull YunHo away from him. He hoped that if he could push YunHo away from him he could break the bond between himself and YunHo but it didn’t work, YunHo’s body was weak but still much stronger than him. Even in pain YunHo was stronger than any human on the world and JaeJoong realized that it was impossible for him to free himself from YunHo’s strong grip. JaeJoong was suddenly very scared, he was afraid of YunHo. JaeJoong was not really sure how dangerous it was what YunHo tried to do, but he was not stupid and knew that a vampire could not have sunburns. His burns were caused by the sun and YunHo could not stand the sun! “YunHo, stop! Please! Screamed JaeJoong again and started to sob in despair. JaeJoong realized now why YunHo did this, he was bringing himself in danger only because JaeJoong was too scared to turn into a vampire. It was all his fault! “Stop, please!” JaeJoong begged now softly, “if you’re stopping now I will do what you want and… I will turn into a vampire…” JaeJoong forced himself to speak those words, but he was prepared to do anything for YunHo if he could stop him now, even if he needed to do that where he was so afraid of. “YunHo, Stop hurting yourself! I will do it, I will transform into a vampire” screamed JaeJoong again between his sobs and pressed his tearful face against YunHo’s now trembling chest, hoping that YunHo would hear him and would stop with what he was doing now.
