A very successful, award winning playwright I know went there. I don't think their standard of education is being called into question, just their handling of international student visas - which does sound amazingly dodgy.

A couple of years ago they got busted for keeping the on-going incoming student loans for students that had quit or never attended. They got in massive amounts of shit for that, too.

They are just a very dodgy organisation. :\

I really don't think this is a London Met qua London Met thing, and certainly not something to be ashamed of as an alumni. It's actually part of a much wider issue that, despite what the BBC say, is not restricted to London Met at all.
