I'm so sorry dude =( It sounds pretty awful, being forced on the floor.. bloody hell.. I'm glad they recovered some of the stuff though but upset that it seems a lot of the stuff still missing is yours =( Nice to hear the police responded pretty fast though! When I had to call them they didn't come round till next morning! =/

It's an old woman thing, but don't answer your door after 10pm unless you're expecting someone! D= Of course, that wouldn't have stopped them kicking the door in! >> You should demand a new door from the landlord! A solid door with no panels!! If he declines, get uni involved, I'm sure something can be done about it. What type have you got atm?

Yeah the police get a lot of calls in our area, we have our own taskforce and everything XD I assume that's why it was pretty speedy. That's the annoying thing about not having a front room, cause we can't look through the window to see who it is. And i dunno what type it is, it's a pvc plastic flimsy (obv) one if thats what you mean XD

Oh man, Rob, that's horrible :/ I'm glad you're all okay, but you still must be a bit shocked. Even from just being burgled in the middle of the night and just waking up to find things gone, still keeps my parents paranoid, but I imagine I'd be seriously panicked about the house being secure after something like yours happening!

Hopefully they've 'apprehended' the right guys and you'll manage to get some of your stuff back - doesn't sound like they've had time to sell it on.

I agree with Rach, hassle your landlord for a much stronger door!! If someone can look through an upstairs window late at night to see who's at the door, I recommend it.

Burglaries like this really tick me off; how low do you have to be to pull that crap?? Particularly on a student house.

Yeah i'm still a bit paranoid about getting jumped atm, but i'll prolly get over it soon. We've already got a couple of phones and laptops back, just have to wait a couple of days for processing. Hopefully we'll get all the stuff back, but it doesn't seem likely atm. C'est la vie XD
