Here's the aforementioned commentary on the DADT thing: it's not a repeal, and it's for sure going to be challenged. but it's absolutely a step in the right direction. I'm really, really happy about this. I feel like this was kind of a milestone, even though I was pretty sure it was going to happen sooner or later... it just feels good right now ( Read more... )

What exactly is happening in the infirmary at the moment is entirely lost on Ronon Dex. After their routine off-world check-ups were over, Beckett whispered something to Sheppard, and then it all began. After working his way through Beckett, Teyla and McKay, Sheppard comes to stand in front of Ronon, grabs him by the shoulders, and kisses him soundly on the mouth. When Sheppard pulls back, Ronon cocks an eyebrow at his CO and glances at the others in the room. Teyla seems to be the only other one looking confused. Even McKay, who Ronon thought would surely have some sort of breakdown in a situation like this is calm and even smiling. Ronon looks back at Sheppard, silently asking for some sort of explanation. Looking ridiculously happy, Sheppard says, “Because I can. Finally.”

Lorne is idly shuffling through paperwork in Sheppard’s office when the computer pings to let him know there is a new email, he frowns because he’s pretty sure he’s logged into the system and not Sheppard, not that Sheppard uses his office at the SGC. It’s kind of a sticking point to have even put the Colonel behind a desk, let alone expect him to use it ( ... )
