Wow...I cried as hard as I did when I watched the episode 'Sunday'.

Gosh...I didn't really expect that at all, with Lorne die in Carson's place.

With that said, I did enjoy reading this, reading about the potential friendship between Carson and Lorne - I think they would have made good friends on the tv show if Carson stayed alive and didn't die in the episode.

You wrote it so well and the ending was just heart-wrecking!

Wow...:)

OMG!!!
You did not just do that!!!!!!
OMG!!
Wow. I wish I could leave a voice comment to this so you could hear what I was shouting at the computer.
Good stuff.

PS. somone's bound to complain you didn't warn for character death (not me, I like the surprise, even if my shreiking at the computer scared the cats)

Like me. I found it hugely upsetting, and while I defend somehowunbroken's right to not warn, it means that this journal is added to my list of "do not trust, never read this author's works again". :(

I'm sorry you feel that way.

No offence but I just don't get your thinking. You don't mind watching TV shows where they could kill off a character any epsiode without warning (unless you read the spoilers) and continue to watch it after that episode..? Especially "Sunday" where Carson dying was such an utter shock, I was speechless, and I am assuming that you still watched the show and you read fic about it (about "Sunday"). Yet you can't trust the author because she didn't put in a character death "warning"?

I don't get it and I'm not, like attacking your right to do that, but I'm just pointing out that maybe you should cut the authors some slack when it comes to that.

Aw, poor Evan! Poor Carson, too. Though it's realistic to think that even if someone had taken him fishing, things would have happened in a similar way. I like how you described Evan's painting (and cleaning)--nice details.

Thanks :) You have to think that even if Carson was on the mainland, even if he'd gone by himself... he would've come right back when he heard. It's just who he is.

If "Sunday" hadn't turned out the way it did, with Carson dying an' all :'(, then Evan should have so went with him. You paint a great picture (pardon the *unintentional* pun) of what their friendship could have been like if a. Carson hadn't died and b. if Evan had been given a bigger role. It's a totally believable pertnership as well with no room for awkwardness or offness in the interactions. The way they understand each other right off the bat and able to translate what each other is saying under the metaphors. Plus, banter! ;D ( ... )

Ah, I melted into a puddle of goo when I first saw that pic, too. Kavan Smith:

The site's in German, but the pic's right there on the side.

Enjoy :D

Carson and Evan are both such understanding people that I find it hard to think that they weren't friends off-camera. I think the fact that Carson went looking for Evan at all during 'Sunday' kind of solidifies it.

And oh, those are great ideas for a follow-up... I may have to put that on my list. :) Keep an eye out!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and don't worry, I'll read comments even if they're books!
