I'm thankful the bridge in our city that was down for repairs after a ship hit it is back up. I mean, not that it doesn't make one a bit nervous to drive over a bridge that came that close to coming down altogether. But our commute went from 20 minutes to over an hour while it was closed. Now we're back to 20 minutes. That makes a big difference in ( Read more... )

I'm not the word police, but I thought it might be helpful to elaborate on feelings that might pop into a pregnant, adoptive mom's mind were you to say to her, "You get to have one of your own!" I have this friend who chronically asks me if I'm pregnant, mostly because I chronically seem to be. Now, I believe strongly that you should never ask a woman if she's pregnant, but some people get a pass, as is the case with this friend.
