"Characters start off with a standard weapon" <- does this mean that abilities that form weapons are disabled?

This was mostly for characters who may not already canonly have a weapon on hand. Characters who do already have weapons or have the ability to create them can still create their own personal one, but its strength will have been reduced to a more basic form.

For example, a super powerful magic sword will be more like a low- to mid-tier basic sword with half of its abilities.
